However, the two sides had parted on bad terms at the clan meeting, and even Hiashi, who had not completely fallen out with Hyuga Kagami, was too embarrassed to come groveling to him.

Thus, the Main Branch had no choice but to ask Hizashi, who had a fairly good relationship with Hyuga Kagami, to act as their mediator.
