A smile played on Deidara's lips as he strode through the dim corridor.

The Five Kage Summit had currently reached a stalemate. After several meetings, the Five Kage had failed to devise any effective means of dealing with Akatsuki. As the Third Tsuchikage's guard, Deidara had no choice but to remain in the dark underground complex.

Given Deidara's nature, he naturally could not stand being cooped up underground. After much pestering, he finally convinced his teacher, the Third Tsuchikage Ōnoki, to allow him to move freely within Konoha.

Seeing the sunlight at the end of the corridor ahead, Deidara's face lit up. "Finally, I get to see the sun, hmm!"

Then Deidara spotted two figures dressed as Konoha shinobi standing at the exit, and his expression immediately darkened again.

The people guarding the entrance were none other than Yuhi Kurenai and Asuma.

Kurenai had personally requested a transfer from the Anbu to protect Deidara, while Asuma had followed Hayate's advice and applied for a transfer after Kurenai in order to get closer to her.

Walking up to Deidara, Kurenai said politely, "My name is Yuhi Kurenai. We met before in the Land of Hot Water. This is Asuma. The two of us will be your guides. Wherever you want to go sightseeing, we can take you there."

Deidara sized up Kurenai and Asuma, then curled his lip. "What a pain!"

Kurenai paid no mind to Deidara's attitude and said sincerely, "Thank you for what happened last time."
