Sasuke's gaze passed over Neji before extending into the distance, finally settling on the crown of a tree outside the academy that swayed despite the lack of wind. His brows slowly furrowed.

"You noticed it too?" Neji asked softly.

Sasuke nodded. As he shifted his gaze and scanned the surroundings, he said, "There are quite a few ninja nearby. Some are hiding in the trees, others in the shadows. I don't know who they are!"

"They're the village's Anbu!"

Neji, with his Byakugan, answered Sasuke's question.

"The Anbu!?" Sasuke froze for a moment, then asked, "Why would the village's Anbu be lurking around the Ninja Academy? Isn't that too strange?"

With his Byakugan activated, Neji looked toward the Ninja Academy gates. "I don't know why either. It seems... something bad is about to happen!"

Within the range of his Byakugan, he could clearly sense many people gathering at the academy gates, and many of them were ninja with chakra. That was obviously abnormal.

Sasuke smiled. "If something really were happening, the teachers would have told us to evacuate long ago."

Neji sighed. "Let's hope so!"
