Hyuga Kagami awakened the Tenseigan, survived a purge of Orochimaru’s former subordinates, and forged a working relationship with Orochimaru while building his standing through missions. He teamed up with Might Guy and ended the stretch pursuing rogue ninja, using the Tenseigan and Gentle Fist to kill a Kaguya Clan leader.

• Orochimaru left Kagami his laboratory and Main Branch tissue, allowing Kagami to complete a genetic solution and begin the Tenseigan Project.
• Konoha detained Orochimaru’s subordinates, but Kagami refused Danzo’s offer to join Root and was sent to a desert outpost with Anko and others.
• Kagami activated the Tenseigan, discovered that his Caged Bird Seal had lost its effect, and grew suspicious when Oda died in an ambush and the replacement squad leaders acted coldly.
• Sasori killed Mitsui Chuichi, but Kagami used Rotation to seize control of the Third Kazekage Human Puppet and escaped, then concealed the puppet and reported Mitsui’s death as an ambush.
• After the Nine-Tails destroyed much of Konoha, Kagami returned to the village and took Itachi on an escort mission, where they encountered Yugito Nii, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya.
• Kagami met Orochimaru, received a Forbidden Technique Scroll, and later mastered the Physical Regeneration Secret Technique and Kaiten while the Third Hokage continued to monitor him.
• Kagami challenged Might Guy, fought him after Guy opened the first four Eight Inner Gates, and agreed to team up with him for missions.
• Kagami and Guy pursued rogue ninja, where Kagami defeated Zabuza and later killed a Kaguya Clan leader with the Tenseigan and Gentle Fist while Guy defeated the other four rogues.

Hyuga Kagami earned a place in the Anbu, helped the Miko seal Moryo, and learned Sealing Jutsu while pursuing a way to create an artificial Tailed Beast. An Iwagakure ambush left him badly injured, and the Third Hokage classified Team Eleven’s report and ordered them to keep silent.

• Hyuga Kagami defeated Uchiha Shisui in the Special Jonin assessment, received a promotion, and accepted the Third Hokage’s invitation to join the Anbu.
• Hyuga Kagami discussed artificial Tailed Beast research with Orochimaru, then joined Team Eleven with Guy, Shisui, and Kakashi on a mission to help the Miko seal Moryo.
• Team Eleven joined forces with Pakura and the Iwagakure Decapitation Unit to fight the Yomi Cult and escort the Miko toward Mount Fengmo.
• Shisui restrained Moryo with Susanoo while Hyuga Kagami used the Third Kazekage Human Puppet to pin it down, allowing the Miko to seal Moryo’s body and soul.
• Hyuga Kagami exchanged sealing formulas with the Miko, learned Sealing Jutsu, and devised a double-layered seal for containing an artificial Tailed Beast.
• Iwamata ambushed Team Eleven in the Land of Bears, fought Hyuga Kagami, and triggered Explosive Tags beneath his skin, but Hyuga Kagami survived and charged the remaining attackers.
• Team Eleven returned safely to Konoha, reported the Moryo mission and the ambush to the Third Hokage, and received a gag order after he classified their report.

Hyuga Kagami joined Team 11 on a raid against a Kumogakure warehouse, where he unleashed the Tenseigan’s power to save himself and Shisui. Team 11’s attacks helped bring Kumogakure to peace talks, while the Uchiha began debating whether to seize power in Konoha.

• Hyuga Kagami chose the Ryumyaku at Rōran as a future chakra source, gathered toxins, and began testing them on a wild boar that proved immune to his poisons.
• Hyuga Kagami defeated Uchiha Shinichi and Uchiha Hiiragi in separate challenges, while the Third Hokage later gave him permission to study advanced ninjutsu and he chose the Four Symbols Seal.
• Team 11 crossed into the Land of Lightning to attack a secret Kumogakure warehouse, but Kakashi was wounded and Hyuga Kagami and Shisui were surrounded by enemy forces.
• Hyuga Kagami received chakra from the Giant Tenseigan and used Tenseigan Chakra Mode and Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion to wipe out the Kumogakure forces in the valley.
• The Ōtsutsuki elders on the moon detected the Tenseigan’s power and searched for its source, while Hyuga Kagami recovered and learned that Kakashi had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.
• Team 11 stayed in the Land of Hot Water and attacked Kumogakure supply convoys, prompting Yugito Nii to lead a hunt for Hyuga Kagami and his teammates.
• The Fourth Raikage recalled Yugito Nii as Kumogakure considered the threat from Iwagakure, and Team 11 returned to Konoha after the villages began peace talks.
• Shisui returned to the Uchiha compound, where Itachi revealed his two-Tomoe Sharingan, and Fugaku asked Shisui’s view as Uchiha Jonin urged him to seize the Hokage position.

Hyuga Kagami navigated Danzo’s suspicions and the Uchiha crisis while secretly freeing the Ryumyaku and making himself its jinchuriki. He helped Sara and the Rōran survivors flee toward the Land of Rain, with Sunagakure pursuers closing in.

• Hyuga Kagami warned Shisui that Danzo might target him for his Mangekyō Sharingan, while Danzo revealed Kotoamatsukami to the elders and pushed for surveillance of Team 11.
• The Masked Man targeted Uchiha Shinichi, while Hyuga Kagami studied sealing techniques and left Konoha to investigate the Ryumyaku seal.
• Hyuga Kagami found the Rōran survivors and identified Sara as the likely Queen of Roran, then returned to Konoha as the Third Hokage suspended Team 11.
• Hyuga Kagami slipped out of Konoha with Shisui’s Shadow Clone covering for him, found Sara at Manto Oasis, and took her to the Roran Ruins.
• Hyuga Kagami removed the seals on the Ryumyaku, and Sara calmed its power as he absorbed it into his artificial Tailed Beast shell.
• Hyuga Kagami sealed the Ryumyaku inside himself, paid Sara five million ryo, and helped the Rōran survivors flee as Sunagakure blamed Konoha for the theft.
• The Masked Man manipulated events until Uchiha Yui died in Shinichi’s arms, causing his Sharingan to spin rapidly.
• Hyuga Kagami completed his fusion sealing ritual and became a Ryumyaku Jinchuriki, then drew Sunagakure pursuers away from the convoy before rejoining it near the Land of Rain.
