Hyuga Kagami returned from the Ryumyaku battlefield as tensions between the Uchiha Clan and Konoha escalated after Uchiha Yui’s murder. Uchiha Shinichi defected and clashed with Team 11, while Hyuga Kagami fought him as Kumogakure forces intervened.

• Hyuga Kagami fought Ōura, Nosuke, and their Sunagakure force, killing the pursuing shinobi before his Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion killed the hidden Kazunosuke and natural energy petrified his hand.
• Uchiha Fugaku and Shisui investigated Yui’s murder, learned a Root ninja had been controlled into killing her, and detained Shinichi when he sought revenge.
• The Masked Man visited Shinichi in his cell and directed him to Naka Shrine, where Shinichi read the hidden stone tablet and learned what he called the truth.
• Hyuga Kagami and the Masked Man raided Root’s secret vault, divided its Sharingan and research materials, and discovered a collection of preserved eyes and laboratory supplies.
• Shinichi raided Root and fled Konoha after failing to find Danzo, defeating Anbu with his Mangekyō Sharingan, regenerative ability, and Susanoo.
• The Third Hokage sent Team 11 to capture Shinichi, and Kakashi tracked him through the forest until Shinichi’s allies ambushed the team and Shinichi challenged Hyuga Kagami.
• Hyuga Kagami lured Shinichi away from the others, discovered that Shinichi could shift the state of his injuries into a specific period of time, and fought his Susanoo with the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion.
• Yugito Nii confronted Team 11 as Kumogakure forces attacked, while Shisui, Kakashi, and Guy fought back and Hyuga Kagami repeatedly destroyed Shinichi’s Susanoo before Shinichi summoned it again.

Hyuga Kagami recruited Uchiha Shinichi as an undercover Akatsuki agent while building a secret laboratory and pursuing experiments to create compatible clones. After sealing the Ryumyaku into a gourd, Kagami began hunting the Yomi Cult as Jiraiya received a new prophecy about a mysterious Konoha ninja.

• Hyuga Kagami defeated Uchiha Shinichi, then offered to revive Yui in exchange for fifteen years of service, with Shinichi agreeing to infiltrate Akatsuki.
• Hyuga Kagami built a concealed laboratory in the Forest of Death and began bounty hunting as Yama to fund his research.
• Hyuga Kagami fought Orochimaru, demonstrated the Ryumyaku dragon, and agreed to work with him while learning that Hiruko had developed the Chimera Technique.
• Hyuga Kagami brought Haku to his laboratory and used his cells to cultivate two clones, then found that their Byakugan were incomplete without spiritual signatures.
• Hyuga Kagami learned from the Miko about a gourd at Mount Zao, sealed the Ryumyaku inside it, and received a list of Yomi Cult bases and leaders.
• Jiraiya heard the Great Toad Sage’s prophecy about a sky-blue-eyed Konoha ninja, while Hyuga Kagami disguised as Yama entered the Yomi Cult’s hall and beheaded Yomi.

Hyuga Kagami fought Akatsuki as River Lord, studied Ice Release through Haku, and returned to Konoha as tensions with Kumogakure rose. After Geluoya’s failed attempt to kidnap Hinata ended in his death, Kagami took the blame onto himself and fled the village, where Kakashi and Guy confronted him.

• Hyuga Kagami created the River Lord identity and battled Kakuzu and several Akatsuki members, escaping after Sasori froze his arm and he cut it off.
• Kagami transferred his soul into the Type B clone, studied Haku’s Ice Release, and learned that it depended on sustaining the fusion of Water- and Wind-nature chakra.
• Kagami joined Team 11 in escorting Kumogakure’s delegation to Konoha and warned Hizashi Hyuga about the suspiciously weak delegation and the danger to Hinata.
• Geluoya kidnapped Hinata, declared that Kumogakure sought to unify the shinobi world, and provoked Hiashi into killing him after resisting Shisui’s genjutsu.
• Kagami removed Geluoya’s corpse and helped the Hyuga clan conceal the break-in, while Kumogakure’s delegation searched the compound and found no evidence.
• A masked Kagami sealed Geluoya’s corpse into a scroll as the delegation and Anbu arrived, then blamed Iwagakure for the killing and fought his way toward Konoha’s wall.
• Kagami knocked Hyuga Rin unconscious to keep her from identifying him and escaped over the wall, where Kakashi and Guy blocked his path and ordered him to surrender.

Hyuga Kagami and Shisui used the God Organization’s bounty-ninja identities to escape suspicion while navigating the danger of an Uchiha rebellion. The arc leaves them preparing to target Uchiha Hideki and draw the clan’s attention toward the God Organization.

• Hyuga Kagami fought the Third Hokage with Ice Release, and Shisui intervened to help him escape before the Hokage could capture him.
• Hyuga Kagami recruited Shisui as the God Organization’s Flame Demon and explained that they would pose as enemies of both Konoha and the Uchiha to prevent the clan’s rebellion.
• Hyuga Kagami and Shisui collected the bounty for Geluoya’s corpse, then drew Fugaku and the Uchiha Police Force away from the Third Hokage’s pursuit of Sasori and Kakuzu.
• Fugaku trapped Hyuga Kagami and Shisui in a genjutsu, but Shisui and the Ryumyaku helped them break free and vanish.
• Hyuga Kagami and Shisui avoided further conflict with Sasori and Kakuzu, while the Third Hokage and Fugaku arrived too late to catch the bounty ninja.
• Hyuga Kagami warned Hiashi that an insider had helped Geluoya enter the Hyuga Main Branch Estate and arranged for Rin to move into the Hyuga compound.
• Pain sent Hiruko and Shennong to the Land of Fire to assist Sasori and Kakuzu, eliminate Orochimaru, and investigate the God Organization, while Obito set out to inflame tensions around the Uchiha.
• Shisui chose Uchiha Ryota and Uchiha Hideki as targets, and he and Hyuga Kagami planned to attack Hideki first and leave an Uchiha witness to redirect the clan’s hostility.
