Hyuga Kagami led Shisui and Itachi against Shennong, seized the Sky Ninja’s aerial fortress, and sealed Shennong while uncovering Akatsuki’s Rinnegan threat. Back in Konoha, the Hyuga Clan faced a crisis when a Main Branch elder was found dead with his Byakugan stolen.

• The Third Hokage and Fugaku confronted Hiruko after he rescued Shennong, but Hiruko escaped, and Danzo’s attack on Team 11 brought the village’s crises together.
• Hyuga Kagami recruited Itachi into the God Organization as Flame Demon, then sought the Chimera Technique from Orochimaru and turned to Shennong after refusing Orochimaru’s demand for Itachi.
• Hyuga Kagami used Shion’s sensing ability to locate Shennong in the Land of Hot Water and sent Shisui and Itachi to attack him as the Flame Demons.
• Shennong transformed with Moryo’s chakra and opened the Eight Inner Gates, but Hyuga Kagami, Shisui, and Itachi defeated him with their Susanoo and captured him.
• Under genjutsu, Shennong revealed the genuine Chimera Technique Scroll, the Sky Ninja’s plan to destroy Konoha with Ancor Vantian, and that Pain possessed the Rinnegan.
• Hyuga Kagami prepared a five-hundred-seal array to contain Shennong and power the fortress, while Shennong disclosed the locations of hidden supplies, including flying ninja tools.
• Hyuga Kagami transported the supplies to the Aerial Fortress, and Shisui provoked Shennong into transforming so Kagami could seal him.
• Hiashi refused Hizashi’s calls to reform the Hyuga Clan, then found a dead Main Branch elder whose Byakugan had been stolen and ordered the clan grounds sealed.

Hyuga Kagami cultivated Gaara and Karin while helping Konoha, Sunagakure, and Kumogakure prepare a secret attack on Akatsuki. After an infiltration mission went badly and Jiraiya disappeared, the allied forces launched an assault on Amegakure, only to be intercepted before reaching the village.

• Hiashi rejected the Main Branch’s suspicions of Hizashi and refused to blame the branch family for the vault theft, while Hyuga Kagami returned to Konoha and began investigating the spy he believed was behind it.
• Hyuga Kagami cultivated Demon Buds and experimented with Blaze Release as Team 11 investigated Akatsuki, then helped Shisui arrange a secret alliance between Konoha, Sunagakure, and Kumogakure.
• During the Sunagakure visit, Hyuga Kagami subdued Gaara’s rampaging Shukaku, saved Gaara from execution, and began training him aboard the Aerial Fortress.
• Hyuga Kagami rescued Karin from Kusagakure after her mother died, then brought her to the fortress to live and train alongside Gaara.
• The Third Hokage, the Kazekage, and the Raikage agreed to attack Akatsuki, and Hyuga Kagami joined a reconnaissance mission into Amegakure that ended with Yugito Nii captured and Jiraiya missing.
• Pain, Konan, and Obito realized the villages had uncovered Akatsuki’s intelligence, while the allied leaders ordered a full assault on Amegakure.
• Hyuga Kagami guided Kakashi, Guy, and Shisui through Amegakure’s waterways to search for Jiraiya, but explosions erupted before the planned raid and Shisui sensed the allied forces had been intercepted.

After the battle in Amegakure left Hyuga Kagami badly injured and Shisui’s eyesight damaged, Kagami returned to Konoha, arranged a risky transplant for Shisui, and began preparing Rin for medical training. He later led Team Seven toward Kirigakure, continued alone after they were injured, and entered the village as Zabuza’s coup began, where he clashed with Obito.

• Hyuga Kagami and the Allied Shinobi Forces fought Nagato’s Six Paths in Amegakure, and Kagami’s Ryumyaku-powered attacks left him petrified while Shisui’s Susanoo use damaged his eyesight.
• After Akatsuki withdrew, Hyuga Kagami returned to Konoha, where the Third Hokage questioned Danzo about First Hokage Cell experiments and disbanded Root.
• Hyuga Kagami urged Shisui to consider a First Hokage Cell transplant, arranged for Rin to study under Tsunade, and began testing White Zetsu cells against Shisui’s.
• The Third Hokage assigned Hyuga Kagami to lead Team Seven on a Kirigakure infiltration mission, and Kagami trained Kurenai, Hayate, and Yugao before setting out.
• Kirigakure shinobi ambushed Team Seven near the former Land of Whirlpools, and Hyuga Kagami sent the injured Kurenai, Hayate, and Yugao back while he continued alone.
• Hyuga Kagami entered Kirigakure in his Fire Clone body as Zabuza prepared a coup, while Obito secretly directed Kisame, Ryu, and Lotus to intervene and spare Zabuza.
• Hyuga Kagami broke into Kirigakure’s underground treasury and confronted Obito, whose Kamui attack failed after Kagami’s Susanoo severed his left arm.

Hyuga Kagami stopped Obito’s control of the Fourth Mizukage, then helped Karatachi Yagura retain power and ended Konoha’s assassination mission. Meanwhile, Shisui prepared for surgery and Akatsuki’s hunt for Orochimaru brought Kisame’s team into a clash with the Sound Four.

• Hyuga Kagami defeated Obito in Kirigakure’s vault, while Karatachi Yagura broke free of the genjutsu and restored order after Zabuza’s rebellion.
• Hyuga Kagami, Shisui, and Itachi used Amaterasu and Kotoamatsukami to make the Fourth Mizukage loyal to the God Organization, then Kagami helped Yagura manage Kirigakure’s finances and political crisis.
• Hyuga Kagami staged a destructive battle with Yagura to dissuade Mei Terumi from challenging him, then encouraged Yagura to pursue Utakata and sealed the Ryumyaku.
• Hyuga Kagami called off Team 7’s assassination mission and prepared Shisui for surgery, while Kisame recovered Hiramekarei and joined Biwa Jūzō’s squad to hunt Orochimaru.
• Kisame’s team encountered the Sound Four, where Lotus fought Kimimaro and warned him that his bloodline powers were destroying his body, but Kimimaro trusted Orochimaru to cure him.
• Kisame broke his team free of Haku’s ice trap, but Yamato and Haku activated their Heaven Curse Marks as Orochimaru watched the two sides prepare to fight.
