Background / History

Tang San was born in Holy Spirit Village as Tang Hao's son and was one year younger than Mo Hui. Before this life, he belonged to the Tang Sect and retained the Mysterious Heaven Skill as well as combat techniques from that prior existence. 1 3

He arrived at Nuoding Academy as a poorly dressed Work-Study Student under Old Jack's care. His Spirit Hall certificate identified Blue Silver Grass as his martial soul and claimed Innate Full Soul Power, while he concealed his true second martial soul, the Clear Sky Hammer. 7 8

Yu Xiaogang correctly guessed that Tang San possessed Twin Martial Souls. Moved by Xiaogang's attention and flattery, Tang San knelt, kowtowed three times, and accepted him as his teacher. His devotion was rooted in a deep hunger for affection following both his Tang Sect past and Tang Hao's distant treatment. 8

Tang San is intensely loyal to those he recognizes as family or mentors. He challenged Mo Hui largely to defend Yu Xiaogang's reputation, remained devoted after losing, and repeatedly risked himself to protect Xiao Wu. 10 11 113

He is persistent and competitive, repeatedly challenging Mo Hui despite being defeated. Tang San entered Nuoding Academy with Old Jack, accepted Yu Xiaogang as his teacher, and challenged Mo Hui for the Dorm Leader position. He was defeated by Pidgey's Tackle after underestimating both Pidgey and Mo Hui. 7 8 10 11

After gaining a four-hundred-year Man-faced Demon Spider soul ring, he again sought to prove Yu Xiaogang's theories through a rematch. His Blue Silver Entanglement remained ineffective against Mo Hui's Air Blade, and Mo Hui only gave him a victory after becoming tired of the repeated challenges. 16 18

Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament

As a Shrek representative, Tang San struggled when stronger opponents exposed Blue Silver Grass's limitations. Consecutive losses to Blazing Fire, Skywater, and Thunder Academies led him to doubt his decision to prioritize Blue Silver Grass. 82

He switched focus to the Clear Sky Hammer and revealed it during Shrek's match against Blazing Fire Academy. The revelation secured a surprise victory but alerted Spirit Hall to Tang Hao's son and the Clear Sky Sect connection. 98

Clear Sky Sect Conflict

After Tang Hao rescued Tang San and Xiao Wu from Spirit Hall's attempt to seize Xiao Wu, Tang Hao later sacrificed his left arm and much of his cultivation to escape the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect with them. 113 115

Tang San eventually returned to the Clear Sky Sect to acknowledge his ancestry. The Seventh Elder attacked him over Tang Hao's history, leaving Tang San with shattered meridians, severe fractures, and near-fatal injuries before Tang Xiao intervened. 238 239

Rescue of Xiao Wu and Yu Xiaogang

Under Tang Chen's protection, Tang San found Xiao Wu imprisoned by the Eight Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and rescued her. He then traveled to Spirit City to locate Yu Xiaogang, who had been held by Spirit Hall for years. 328 329

During the prison infiltration, Tang San used the Eight Spider Lances to kill guards and break through to Level 70. Bibi Dong pursued the escaping group after Tang Chen and Xiao Wu fled. 330 331

Death

After Xiao Wu's sacrifice, Tang San attempted to flee Bibi Dong underground and swore revenge. His hidden weapons could not harm her, and her god-level attack destroyed Invincible Golden Body, pierced through his defenses, and reduced him to scattered light. Bibi Dong then collected his soul bones. 332
