Rin had not seen Kushina for several days. The last time they met was when Kushina had asked Rin about Zhen.
She had specifically bought some gifts and come to visit Kushina's home, only to find Kushina looking utterly haggard when she opened the door.
"Kushina, are you sick?" Rin was startled and hurriedly asked.
"Maybe..." Kushina replied weakly.
Several straight days of insomnia and wild thoughts had left her utterly drained. On top of that, she had barely eaten and had no strength left.

What she received was another stretch of silence. Kushina unconsciously clenched the fabric at Rin's back, then slowly loosened her grip.
She seemed to have calmed down and let go of Rin.
"What did you bring? Is there anything to eat?"
"Are you hungry? I can make you something, then we can go to the hospital," Rin said.
Kushina slowly shook her head. "I'm fine. I don't need to go to the hospital. I'm just a little hungry."
Seeing that Kushina refused to say more, Rin could only sigh inwardly. She wondered whether Minato-sensei knew Kushina was in this state.
