"Music and dance are indeed charming." As the music ended, "It's time for bed. All students, follow your prefects back to your dormitories. Horatio, come with me for a moment."
Hermione cast a sympathetic glance at Horatio beside her. "I hope to see you again tomorrow."
Horatio shrugged indifferently. Beauxbatons had its own ways, and with his talent, in a few years he could learn from a certain man surnamed Huang. Getting into Hogwarts was much easier than getting accepted into Hogwarts.
Horatio followed Dumbledore to the Headmaster's office on the eighth floor of the castle, guarded by a gargoyle at the entrance.
"Buzzing bee."
The gargoyle moved aside, revealing a hidden spiral staircase. At the top of the stairs, a sturdy oak door with a sphinx knocker came into view.
Opening the door, they entered a circular room. In the center was a large desk piled high with books and documents.
Portraits of past Headmasters hung on the wall behind the desk. Beside the desk was a perch, where the phoenix Fawkes stood.
Dumbledore sat in the Headmaster's chair and said to Horatio, "Child, tell me, where did you learn that magic?"
Horatio's eyes darted around. He took out the table of contents from Five Years at Hogwarts, Three Years in Azkaban and said, "Headmaster, look. This book records a vast amount of magic. My suggestion is to make it compulsory reading, and for you, Headmaster, to personally teach this course.
Look, Headmaster, our Hogwarts graduates can't even cast a Shield Charm. If the students from Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and Ilvermorny see this, they'll mock us for calling ourselves the greatest magical school.
I suggest we introduce the MHGA exams. For first to fourth years, a small test every seven days and a major test every month. For fifth to seventh years, a small test every three days and a major test every seven days.
Failing once means calling the parents. Failing three times means a school-wide public reprimand. Failing five times means cancellation of dormitory privileges, forcing them to become day students. Failing ten times means expulsion..."
Ignoring Horatio's suggestions, Dumbledore opened the table of contents. The beginning was relatively normal, but as he read further, he became increasingly alarmed. The three Unforgivable Curses were only ranked in the upper tiers. Below them were spells like Call of R'lyeh, Neutron Burst, and Stellar Collapse – names that were terrifying just to hear.
"Child, how much of this book have you studied?"
"Huh? Not much, only about twenty percent."
Dumbledore breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness.
"But I learned it from back to front..."
Dumbledore's eyes rolled back, and a sense of powerlessness washed over him. Voldemort was nothing. He just liked to nibble on large melons. Even his old flame could at most blow up a city, but this young man was aiming for world destruction.
"I'm starting to doubt if admitting you to Hogwarts was the right decision." But then he thought, if he let Horatio grow wild outside, it wouldn't be strange if one day he woke up to find himself floating in outer space.
Dumbledore eventually returned the book to Horatio. There was nothing he could do; he had already learned it. After all, one nuclear bomb and a hundred nuclear bombs were the same; all that mattered was controlling the fuse.
Dumbledore and Horatio agreed that he would not use the last dozen or so spells, and any others would require his guidance during practice.
Horatio replied that Dumbledore was overthinking it; even if he were drained dry, he couldn't cast those spells right now.
Horatio put the book back into his cloth bag (actually, into the space described in the system's book) and took out another one.
Dumbledore gasped, thinking he was about to pull out something even more shocking. When he saw the words "Cookbook" on the cover, he immediately relaxed.
Horatio handed the cookbook to Dumbledore and then made three requests.
First, he needed a private dormitory. Second, he needed a separate plot of land to grow vegetables. Third, his alchemy tools were not to be confiscated.
Afterward, Dumbledore handed Horatio a phoenix feather and escorted him to a private dormitory in Gryffindor.
The dormitory was quite spacious, at least for a young wizard. A bed with four posts draped in deep crimson velvet curtains was placed on the left side of the room. On the right side was a fireplace, with a burning fire, a sofa, and a coffee table arranged on a red rug in front of it. At the very back of the room was a window, through which the dark night sky could be seen.
His luggage had already been delivered. Dumbledore handed him a class schedule and told him to get some rest, as he had classes tomorrow.
Horatio acknowledged this. After Dumbledore left the dormitory, he unpacked his luggage and released Hathor, Isis, and Nephthys from their cages.
After petting the cats for a while, Horatio hugged Hathor and lay down on the bed, closing his eyes.
"Sleep? No way, let's party." Horatio jumped off the bed, took a hooded robe from his trunk and put it on, then took out two wrist-mounted blades and attached them to his left and right wrists. The short swords on the wrist blades were removed and replaced with the wands of Kei and Ringo.
He put a small cape on Hathor and said to the two birds, "Isis, you're with me. Nephthys, you stay here and guard the house."
Then he pushed open the window. Horatio, who had intended to perform a leap of faith, looked at the height and decided against it, opting to use the door instead.
