Hearing Sirius refuse, Horatio waved a hand. "Then there's nothing I can do, unless you're willing to trade the relics of Hogwarts's four founders. By the way, I already have the Gryffindor Sword and Ravenclaw's Diadem. You'll need to find Slytherin's locket or Hufflepuff's cup."
Sirius deflated. If he could leave Azkaban, he would give everything he had to find them. But he was still locked up in Azkaban; anyone could tell Horatio would never let him leave.
"Then can you help treat Frank Longbottom and Alice Longbottom? Bellatrix Lestrange tortured them until they lost their minds." Sirius recalled the comrades he had fought beside in the Order of the Phoenix. Thinking of how Horatio had developed Soothing Draught to treat the prisoners' madness, he made the request.
Horatio thought for a moment. Damn it, why hadn't I thought of this? As long as I use Soothing Draught to threaten... no, negotiate amicably with Neville and force him to sign a contract of servitude, wouldn't House-Elf Unit 1 become permanent?
With that in mind, Horatio replied, "No. Someone will pay the price for them."
Sirius breathed a sigh of relief. Whoever paid the price, it was still a good thing that the Longbottoms could be treated.
Neville: Has anyone considered my feelings?
Sirius made his final request. "Then can the Warden help me capture Peter Pettigrew and bring him to Azkaban?"
Horatio nodded. "Yes. Once Rita is done with her business, I can let you capture Peter Pettigrew yourself."
Then Horatio turned to Callista and ordered, "Notify Thresh. Have him take his squad of Dementors to the Weasley family's home. Keep a close eye on that rat. The moment Rita is done, capture him immediately."
Horatio said to Sirius, "You have nothing else to do. I'll notify you when Thresh
