An old goat-headed demon tossed over a money pouch. Though the old demon was aged, he was not to be underestimated. Most goat-headed demons were extremely dangerous—a lesson other races had learned through blood.
Bubu Wang set down the stone sculpture in his paws. After nodding to the goat-headed demon, he picked up the money pouch in his mouth and turned to leave.
"What a polite little fellow. But... it seems an old acquaintance has arrived in Fallow City. That familiar feeling..."
The old demon narrowed his eyes and waved a hand. An image appeared before him.
Crack, crack, crack...
Blue meridians gradually wrapped around the image before it shattered explosively.
"As expected, an ally has arrived. The problem is that this ally doesn't exactly trust the Demon Clan. A wise choice."
