The soul memory ended, and Su Xiao opened his eyes. Through this soul memory, along with the secrets he had learned in this world, he now understood why the three Ancient Gods had appeared in the Wizard World.
First, the world where the three Ancient Gods had originally lived had collapsed for unknown reasons. Azathoth, Shub, and Cthulhu had no choice but to leave their original world and enter the Void.
Having just arrived in the Void, Azathoth felt as if it had discovered a new world. It even felt like a frog at the bottom of a well.
Accustomed to being worshiped and feared by living beings, Azathoth was of course unwilling to remain unknown. Thus, as soon as it arrived in the Void, it enslaved a race.
Just as Azathoth believed it was about to begin a new legend of terror, the three Ancient Gods encountered the Law-Destroying. They had only themselves to blame for their bad luck. If they had developed in some remote backwater of the Void, they might have formed a faction.
As a result, the legend of the three Ancient Gods ended just as it began. They were even nearly locked in cages for research.
The three Ancient Gods escaped by sheer luck and reached the Wizard World, a place beyond the Void. After arriving, Azathoth's consciousness separated from its body due to its severe injuries. Shub lost the ability to "give birth to all things," while Cthulhu had originally possessed the abilities of time and space. During its battle with the Law-Destroying, its time ability had been forcibly severed, and a large chunk of its soul had been cut away.
Su Xiao learned what happened afterward from Dawn and the others. The three Ancient Gods had not changed their ways and still ruled
