Yuk City, inside the office.
Su Xiao stood on the formation array glowing with golden light. His discomfort gradually faded. After using the Demon Clan's teleportation several times in the previous world, he had gradually grown accustomed to it.
Baja hung from the ceiling lamp, swaying from side to side. Bubu Wang squatted on the floor, his abdomen twitching now and then. Amu looked perfectly normal and even wanted dinner.
The little boy brought back from Winter Spring Town lay on the floor, tear tracks at the corners of his eyes. After staring blankly for a while, he suddenly burst into tears, sobbing so hard that his nose ran, accompanied by bouts of dry heaving.
Liechao leaned against the wall with her arms crossed, her expression calm. Judging from her clenched fists, however, her stomach was far from peaceful.
"Impressive. It's your first time, yet you're this calm."
Baja praised Liechao's composure.
"Oh."
Liechao only managed to say that one word. She truly didn't dare say more; she felt as if she were about to throw up.
"I'm going across the street to order dinner from the hotel. What does everyone want?"
"Noodles. A staple food."
"Woof. (Fragrant meat.)"
"Moo."
"I'm not hungry."
Hearing Liechao's words, Baja's smile turned wicked.
"Miss, if your stomach feels bad, just say so. It's nothing embarrassing."
"Meat dishes, grilled fish..."
Liechao ordered more than a dozen dishes in succession. Baja memorized them, flew out of the office, and returned half an hour later. Liechao sat at the dining table and, as if facing a sworn enemy, drove her fork into the grilled fish. It pierced through the plate and the table beneath it.
After the meal, Liechao went upstairs to rest. Her expression was solemn, yet for some reason, she actually smiled at Baja.
