The long blade slid out of a Violator's skull. Of the four he had encountered by chance, three had been killed. The last one had "escaped."
Su Xiao's original plan had been that if two of them escaped the Unseen Room, he would hunt down one in Ring Tree City. The best outcome would be to kill three and leave one alive.
Su Xiao put on a single-sided wireless earpiece. After pressing its touch-sensitive button, he said, "Bubu."
"Woof!"
Bubu's bark came through the earpiece, followed by the hiss of a signal switch. A few seconds later, the hissing changed into wind and heavy breathing. That was why he had left one alive.
In ancient times, beekeepers made a living by catching wasps and gathering bee pupae, then selling the processed wasps and pupae to apothecaries. How had these beekeepers found wasp nests so continuously? Had they searched the mountains inch by inch? No.
Beekeepers went to flower fields, where they used pieces of raw meat to lure wasps. After catching them, they did not kill them. Instead, they tied tree fluff to the wasps. It was light and easy to observe.
After releasing a wasp with tree fluff tied to it, they only needed to follow it. Before long, they would find the location of its nest.
