Flattening the worm beneath his foot, Su Xiao looked toward Matou Sakura.

"Not a bad replacement, but..."

One-fifth of that old worm was still alive. Although it could no longer pose any danger to Su Xiao, he was accustomed to pulling out weeds by the roots.

Blue light flickered across his palm. Su Xiao's hand clamped around Matou Sakura's slender neck, blue-white arcs crackling as a surge of Blue Steel Shadow energy entered her mouth.

Matou Sakura reacted decisively. Her eyes rolled back, saliva dribbling from the corners of her mouth, and she fainted instantly.

"Sakura!"

Matou Kariya, who had just stopped, charged over again. Su Xiao turned and flung Dragon Slayer Flash.

Clang.

Dragon Slayer Flash pierced through Matou Kariya's chest and nailed him to the wall, the long blade covered in Blue Steel Shadow energy.

"Ah!!"

Matou Kariya let out a miserable howl. A large number of Crest Worms crawled out of his mouth, fleeing his body as if desperate to escape.

A moment later, all the Crest Worms inside Matou Sakura and Matou Kariya had died. One was gravely wounded and on the verge of death, while the other was unconscious. Blue Steel Shadow energy targeted not only the Crest Worms—it also devoured the magical energy within their bodies.

"Bubu, are there any worms nearby?"

"Woof."

Bubu Wang barked, meaning that there were at least tens of thousands of Crest Worms inside this castle.

Su Xiao walked over to Matou Kariya and pulled Dragon Slayer Flash from his chest. Matou Kariya thudded to the ground.

"Bubu, activate the aura. Don't let either of them die. If Matou Kariya can't hold on, we'll have no choice but to let Matou Sakura replace him in the Master role."

In Su Xiao's perception, the number of magical circuits inside Matou
