Background / History
Yue Fei was selected by Xiao Tianyang through a [Personal Exclusive Summoning Order]. Xiao Tianyang chose him for his military skill, character, and the quality of the legion associated with him, viewing “loyalty to the country” as the clearest summary of Yue Fei's character. Yue Fei had loved martial arts from childhood, created the Yue Family Spear, and later studied under Zhou Tong. 1469
Before entering Divine Might, Yue Fei was largely unknown to the wider Douluo Continent. He lived on Qiushan Island's Yue Family Town, a settlement of more than 100,000 people, where intelligence identified him as captain of the local peacekeeping force. He departed the town with his son Yue Yun and the Yue Family Army in response to Yue Shen's recruitment order. 1471
Yue Fei arrived at Shenwu City with Yue Yun, Gao Chong, and roughly 3,000 followers seeking to join the war effort. After presenting his ideas on military cohesion and “co-governance” to Xiao Tianyang, he accepted command of the newly created Big Dipper Legion. 1472 1473 1474
Appearance
Yue Fei is a robust, imposing middle-aged man with a heroic bearing. His appearance is youthful enough that observers could mistake him for someone only just past thirty. 1472 1473
- Tall, powerfully built physique. 1473
- Heroic and extraordinary presence despite wearing coarse clothing on his arrival at Shenwu Hall. 1473
- Carries himself with the steadiness and authority expected of a senior commander. 1652
Personality
Yue Fei is disciplined, loyal, and highly conscious of hierarchy. He accepted the position of Big Dipper Legion commander because it gave him the means to fulfill his long-held vows, while maintaining that the capable should hold office rather than clinging to rank. 1474
He is cautious without being passive. Yue Fei prepares for contingencies before presenting plans, respects dangerous opponents, and refuses to be led by enemy movements. 1647 1689 He also wants to establish his authority through results rather than Xiao Tianyang's intervention, recognizing that the other legion commanders would judge him by his battlefield performance. 1491
Though he prioritizes the larger strategic picture, Yue Fei does not casually spend soldiers' lives. He will order difficult missions when necessary, but avoids sacrificing troops when a viable path to victory remains. 1650
Abilities & Skills
Military Strategy and Command
Yue Fei possesses exceptional War Talent, tactical judgment, and command ability. His campaigns emphasize preparation, coordination between specialized forces, and turning changing battlefield conditions into advantages. 1485 1904
- Proposed “co-governance”: dividing the continent into coordinated regions to improve cohesion and prevent weak points in the defense. 1474
- Prefers steady advances and wars of attrition when his side holds the initiative, avoiding wasteful fast battles. 1647 1721
- Uses deception, infiltration, ambushes, and concealed forces rather than relying solely on direct confrontation. 1502 1722
- Divides battlefields into sectors and assigns each general a defined responsibility. 1652
- Organized elite soldiers into small mountain teams to establish positions, seize high ground, build bunkers, and delay a larger enemy force for a month. 1627
- Adapted legions—normally ill-suited to exploration—into an effective force for developing the Primitive Plane. 1522
Yue Family Spear
Yue Fei created the Yue Family Spear and trained under Zhou Tong. His spear mastery later earned him recognition as one of Douluo Continent's Five Great Spear Kings. 1469 2109
- Favors steadiness, weight, and precision over pure speed. 1540
- Targets vital points and treats each strike as purposeful, gradually accumulating wounds rather than overextending for a single decisive blow. 1540
- Can transition from precise spear work to close-range body strikes and evasive counters. 1540
- Tong Yuan praised the Yue Family Spear as having reached divine mastery. 2109
Personal Combat and Plane Power
Although primarily a command-type talent, Yue Fei possesses formidable individual martial strength. He is capable of holding his own against powerful enemies while continuing to direct a wider battle. 1502 2109
- Held back seven top-tier enemy powerhouses alone during the assault on an enemy main city, though he sustained severe injuries. 1502
- Uses Plane Power to suppress opponents; against the Lava Mountain Boar, it restricted the creature's power, speed, and movement. 1540
- Personally opened more than a dozen wounds on the Lava Mountain Boar through targeted spear attacks. 1540
- Later killed more than ten Evil Gods, including four high-level gods. 2042
- Can avoid falling into disadvantage even against Supreme Experts such as Guiguzi. 2109
Army Training and Morale
Yue Fei is skilled at strengthening armies beyond battlefield command.
- Proposed a rigorous advancement program to promote soldiers into officer and high-ranking officer roles, supported by resources and rewards from Xiao Tianyang. 1559
- Reassured the Big Dipper Legion about new equipment and weapons, raising the unit's morale after instructional demonstrations. 1590
- Personally inscribed the army's sixteen-character battle cry, used by soldiers before deployment to reinforce resolve. 1703
Equipment / Weapons / Items

- Storage Soul Tool — used to carry military documents and the New System cultivation scroll. 1475

Relationships
- Xiao Tianyang — Sovereign and patron. Xiao Tianyang personally chose Yue Fei through the summoning order, appointed him to command the Big Dipper Legion and later made him Grand Commandant. Their relationship is defined by mutual trust in military affairs. 1469 1474 1490 1647
- Yue Shen — Strategic counterpart and adviser. She introduced Yue Fei to Divine Might's structure, warned him about Yue Yun's conduct, and consulted him on major political and military decisions. 1475 1488
- Yue Yun — Eldest son. A body-refinement prodigy whose impulsive attack on Yan Lingji prompted Yue Fei to promise that he would restrain his son's temper. 1471 1472 1475
- Gao Chong — Leading fighter of the Yue Family Army and a key vanguard under Yue Fei's command. Their individual strength is portrayed as broadly comparable. 1472 1476 1502
- Yang Zaixing — Trusted fierce general. Yue Fei approved his appointment to the Nine Dragon Imperial Guards while preserving a clear superior-subordinate relationship between them. 1474
- Esdeath — Fellow general and battlefield ally. She supported Yue Fei against the Lava Mountain Boar with an Ice Wall, while Yue Fei later suppressed her during a visit to the military camp. 1540 1478
- Wanyan Chenheshang — Commander of the Mounted Legion. Yue Fei coordinated the Mounted Legion's flanking charge toward Mount Pingqiu. 1650

Story Role / Major Arcs
Joining Divine Might
After arriving from Yue Family Town, Yue Fei impressed Xiao Tianyang with his analysis of the continent's military weaknesses and his co-governance proposal. He was immediately made commander of the Big Dipper Legion, earning the respect of the other legion commanders within half a month; Pu Feng privately called him the “Wings of Divine Might.” 1473 1474 1485
First Campaign as Grand Commandant
Following the founding of the Tianwu Dynasty, Yue Fei became Grand Commandant for the first major war. He initially reinforced defenses for ten days, then exploited prior Bounty Hunter infiltration to seize cities and ambush enemy reinforcements. He personally led the assault on the enemy's main city and held off seven top-tier opponents. 1490 1502
He subsequently coordinated a pincer attack with the Silver Dragon King, securing victory after appearing to remain locked in a stalemate. 1503
Primitive Plane Exploration
Yue Fei transformed the legions' limitations into an advantage during the Primitive Plane expedition. By using military units for exploration and development rather than treating them as ordinary mercenary groups, he helped push exploration past the halfway point within a month. 1522
During the confrontation with the Lava Mountain Boar, he demonstrated his individual combat strength by suppressing, wounding, blinding, and physically controlling the berserk creature with spear work and iron chains. 1540
Northern Battlefield and Elemental Kingdom War
Yue Fei commanded the northern battlefield against the Elemental Kingdom and the Sea of Ten Thousand Evils. He used dispersed elite teams, artillery, mechanized units, and carefully timed counterattacks to manage a prolonged stalemate and preserve the dynasty's strategic position. 1605 1627 1652 1688
As the campaign escalated, he coordinated multiple legions across separate sectors, supported allied commanders, and advanced methodically rather than allowing the enemy to dictate the terms of battle. 1650 1667 1721
God Realm Campaign
In the God Realm, Yue Fei detected a 300,000-man ambush at Tianhe River Mouth and ordered a five-layer Chariot City Circular Formation to prepare the army for combat. 1772
When reinforcements doubled the Heavenly Martial Dynasty's military strength, he gathered the legion commanders and proposed using the God Realm war to resolve the crisis threatening Douluo Continent. 1785
