Although the Blazingfire Dragon Armament looked enormous, once it was donned, it fit perfectly and covered every part of my body, giving me a sense of security I had never felt with any other armor. Admittedly, weight was a common drawback of armaments, but for a Ghost Gu body like mine, whose strength could uproot mountains, it did not even count as a problem. In fact, I wanted it to be heavier, so that when I attacked, I could become a devastating meteorite.
Although the Blazingfire Dragon Armament had been artificially aged and modified and no longer possessed its vivid-red color, the instant it activated, its temperature—hot as boiling blood—sent my excitement surging. This armament had the ability to influence one's fighting spirit, so after putting it on, I felt invincible. It should have been the unique berserk aura of the Blazingfire Dragon itself, interacting with the body heat evaporating from my body.
I shook my hands and feet, and even my back, discovering that quite a few spring-loaded blades had been ingeniously installed throughout the armament. After a familiar startup sequence, sixteen crimson blades of varying lengths—from one to three inches—sprang from all over my body. Flames roiled around them, making me look as though I had grown spikes. It was clear that the terrifying part of this legendary armament was not its defense, but the fact that it was itself a vicious blade for exterminating beasts. It could even use offense as defense!
I lifted the Blazingfire Dragon Cleaver, which had been folded down to only a meter long, and stood outside the cave. Feeling the mechanical power supplied by the moonstone embedded within it, I was struck by a sense of wonder. To forge equipment like this required manufacturing and integration capabilities that were truly heaven-defying.
Bang-chk!
