Background

The Void Ancestor holds the highest position among Voids. Rather than inheriting the title, a Void must be “forged through battle” to become Void Ancestor; all other Voids are expected to submit. Challenging it and failing results in becoming a Fallen Void. 8741

Its order sustains itself by guiding newly awakened Voids from the Land of Void, taking a portion of their Void Year—the duration of a Void Thought's existence—and directing them to replenish that loss by guiding further Voids. Disobedient Voids are killed, while compliant ones are used to perpetuate this cycle. 8745

Xuan Miao identifies the Void Ancestor as the being that shattered Xia Yitian's Great Three Thousand Dao Achievement Universe, leaving him as a Fallen Void before his eventual recovery. 8741
