The next day.
Manhattan, New York. Psychological Counseling Room, Yao's Place.
A silver-white Audi R8 pulled up in front of the clinic.
"Russell, didn't you say you were taking me to meet that Sorcerer Supreme?
Why are we at a psychological clinic?
I don't need therapy."
As he got out of the car, Tony couldn't help but complain.
Russell led the way without looking back.
"That's not the point. Doesn't Iron Man also moonlight as the chairman of Stark Industries?"
When they reached the reception room and saw that the door was open, Russell walked straight in.
"Master, this is Tony Stark."
"Tony, this is Master Ancient One."
After introducing them, Russell sat off to the side with a cup of tea, ready to watch the show.
Mm, Master Ancient One's tea was still better.
It seemed to have a little honey in it.
"Hello, Tony. Please, sit."
Ancient One rose with a smile, poured Tony a cup of tea, and gestured for him to take a seat.
Tony accepted the tea and sat down. After taking a sip, he gave a thumbs-up. "Good tea."
Then he went straight to the point.
"You cured a girl named Eileen yesterday?
Someone infected with the Vampire Virus."
"More or less."
Tony continued.
"You removed the vampire race's inherent flaws without affecting any of her other bodily functions."
"Yes."
Tony spoke faster.
"How did you do it?"
"She craved blood and feared sunlight. I told her she could overcome those things, and she did."
Tony looked doubtful.
"Don't tell me that was psychological counseling?"
"What if I told you that people can wield Spiritual Power to heal their bodies?"
"How would that work?"
Ancient One opened a book containing an illustration of acupuncture points on the human body. Smiling, she asked:
"Do you like this picture?"
"No." Tony shook his head. "Master Ancient One, can we be more direct?"
"Seeing it once is better than hearing about it a hundred times. Master, why not let Tony experience it for himself?"
Russell suddenly cut in.
What he wanted to see was Tony rudely questioning Ancient One.
Then getting his soul slapped out of his body by her.
Not the two of them having a friendly discussion.
"Fine." Tony was eager to try. "I'd also like to experience magic firsthand."
Ancient One and Russell smiled at the same time.
"Bang!"
The next second, Ancient One's palm struck Tony in the chest.
Under Russell's expectant gaze, nothing happened.
"Hm?"
"Bang!"
With another palm strike, this time to Tony's shoulder, Tony's soul flew out of his body.
"Sorry, I forgot about the Arc Reactor in your chest."
A moment later, Tony's soul drifted back into his body.
"There really are souls," Tony muttered to himself. "That's incredible."
"Want to see something even more incredible?" The Ancient One asked with a smile.
"Huh?!"
The next instant, Tony was flung away and vanished into thin air.
"Russell, you should give it a try too."
"I'd rather not, Mas—"
Before he could finish, a flash of yellow light flared beneath Russell's feet, forming a glowing ring.
The instant before the yellow flames appeared, Russell rose and dodged aside.
His Perception ability triggered, allowing him to foresee the future.
Russell gave an awkward smile. "Master, can't we talk this out? There's no need to get physical, right?"
"Russell, it seems I underestimated you."
The Ancient One was somewhat surprised.
"However, there are some things that will benefit you if you see them for yourself."
The next instant, the Mirror Dimension enveloped the entire reception room.
The entire Mirror Dimension vanished from its original location.
This time, Russell did not dodge.
In the future he had seen, no matter where he ran, the Mirror Dimension would extend along with him.
Just like Sun Wukong and Buddha.
A bizarre and colorful world unfolded before Russell and Tony's eyes.
"The Material Universe is not everything.
At the source of reality, spirit and matter are connected.
This universe is merely one among countless universes.
Take a good look. This is the true universe."
The Ancient One's voice rang beside them, answering their questions.
After an unknown amount of time, they returned to the reception room.
This was the second time Russell had traveled through the Multiverse.
The first time had been when he transmigrated. Back then, he had been an Ordinary Person and could not see much.
The second time was now, and he saw much more.
More Dimensional Demon Gods and Energy Dimensions.
Weren't these moving Attribute Points?
"Do you want to learn?" The Ancient One's calm voice sounded.
"Master, teach me." x2.
"Alright, I'll teach you. Follow me."
As he spoke, the Ancient One opened a Portal directly to Kamar-Taj.
"Oh, right. These are Sling Rings.
Once you become proficient in using a Sling Ring, you can open Portals and reach anywhere you wish to go.
You can even travel through the Multiverse."
After handing each of them a Sling Ring, the Ancient One continued:
"You are different from the other sorcerers. You do not need to remain at Kamar-Taj at all times.
Once you learn how to use the Sling Rings, you may return home.
Just make time to come here and study every day."
"Thank you, Master," they said in unison.
The Ancient One put on a Sling Ring and personally demonstrated for them:
"Focus your mind and visualize the place you wish to go."
As he spoke, he pressed two fingers together and drew a circle.
Light and flames appeared wherever his fingertips passed.
They swiftly spread, forming a Portal.
On the other side of the Portal was the reception room they had come from.
"That sounds pretty simple," Tony said with a smile.
He then put on the Sling Ring and imitated The Ancient One's movements with convincing form.
One circle, two circles, three circles.
Occasionally, tiny sparks flickered into existence.
Russell shook his head and smiled. "It really is quite simple."
As he spoke, Russell put on the Sling Ring.
Through the Sling Ring, Russell "saw" the thin, unusual magical energy permeating the surrounding space.
Spiritual Energy flowed into the Sling Ring on his finger, then connected with that special magical energy.
His perception instantly extended outward without limit.
At the same time, a pressure pressed down on his mind.
This method of perception lacked precision, but its range was vastly increased.
Before long, Russell had encompassed the entire Earth within his perception.
"Russell, what are you standing there like an idiot for? Don't tell me you've already forgotten the movements."
Seeing that Russell had not moved for a long while, Tony mocked him.
"Want me to teach you?"
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The moment he finished speaking, one Portal after another appeared around Russell.
The Portals led to all corners of the world.
The nearest one was in the courtyard, while the farthest extended beyond the Solar System.
"Master..." Tony stared blankly at the scene. "Aren't we supposed to draw circles?"
The Ancient One looked at Russell, growing more satisfied the longer he watched.
But he still comforted Tony first:
"Drawing circles is only an aid. Spiritual Energy and proficiency are what truly matter.
Tony, don't be discouraged. Your talent is also excellent.
It's just that Russell himself is already an extraordinarily powerful superhuman, and his Spiritual Energy is far stronger than yours.
But with training, your Spiritual Energy will continue to grow stronger as well."
Tony glanced at Russell enviously. "Like Russell's?"
The Ancient One fell silent.
With Russell's talent, it was almost impossible for anyone to surpass him in raw numerical strength.
"For a master, Spiritual Energy is certainly important.
But wisdom, knowledge, comprehension, and creativity are equally important.
Those are your strengths, Tony."
After comforting Tony, The Ancient One reminded Russell:
"Focus your Spiritual Energy instead of releasing it aimlessly.
Only then will you be able to see farther."
