What If: Pym Particles + Whipcord Suit
Doctor Pym set out with complete confidence.
His easy success in assassinating Tony the first time, along with the psychological advantage of an elder over a junior,
made Doctor Pym look down on Tony even more.
Very soon, he would pay for that contempt.
"Sir, emergency. Unmarked ants have been detected.
These ants appear to be under Doctor Pym's control. Their movements are being monitored."
J.A.R.V.I.S.'s voice woke Tony from his thoughts.
After suffering a major loss the first time, Tony had obtained files on Doctor Pym and the Ant-Man Suit from Nick Fury.
He had set up several lines of defense against Ant-Man throughout Stark Tower.
One of them involved using special elements to mark the ants in and around Stark Tower.
Once any unmarked ants approached, J.A.R.V.I.S. would immediately monitor them.
After making an algorithmic assessment, it would notify Tony.
Doctor Pym's target wasn't Dr. Banner. It was me?
How did he know I wasn't dead?
A string of questions surfaced in Tony's mind, but there was something more urgent at hand.
"J.A.R.V.I.S., tell Pepper and Happy to go to the Safe House. Then quietly release word that I'm in the workshop."
Tony did not have J.A.R.V.I.S. scan the entire building for Doctor Pym, the Original Ant-Man.
That would easily alert the enemy.
Instead, he wanted to deliberately release information and tell Doctor Pym where he was.
He wanted to lure him into a trap.
Of course, that was just a tiny bit aggressive.
Really, just a tiny bit. Not an enormous bit.
Tony opened a Portal and traveled to another of his mansions in California.
He was not about to actually stay in the workshop and wait for Doctor Pym to assassinate him.
Leaving behind a modified Drone Armor disguised as himself would do just fine.
Meanwhile, with the aid of various ant colonies and through all kinds of pipes, Doctor Pym infiltrated Tony's workshop.
Heh, a Playboy was still a Playboy. Even after suffering once, he hadn't improved at all.
Doctor Pym surveyed his surroundings, searching for Tony.
Inside the workshop, someone in armor sat at a workbench, seemingly adjusting something.
How cautious. Alone in the workshop, yet hiding inside an iron box instead of coming out.
But did he think he would be safe just because he hid in there?
Doctor Pym quietly approached the armor and took out a shrinking-type Pym Particle.
I didn't expect this mission to be so easy. Hope, wait for me. Daddy is coming to save you.
The Pym Particle made contact with the Drone Armor. The instant it did, the armor shrank at high speed.
Until it reached the Subatomic Level and fell into the Quantum Realm.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
An alarm sounded inside the workshop.
It was a trap!
Doctor Pym realized it just as he was about to retreat.
A Special Glass Enclosure rose from all around, trapping the area where the armor had originally stood.
The shrunken Doctor Pym was inside as well.
In California, Tony watched through the surveillance feed and was somewhat surprised.
His first plan had been to lure Doctor Pym into the Drone Armor's internal ducts.
Then set a trap inside the ducts to capture him.
He had not expected Doctor Pym to have no intention of infiltrating the armor at all.
Instead, he had used some unknown weapon to rapidly shrink the Drone Armor until it vanished.
Fortunately, Tony still had a backup plan.
Tony's voice came through the speakers. "Doctor Pym, I've got you."
Doctor Pym's face darkened.
On one hand, he had never expected to be played by a junior.
And that junior was the son of Howard Stark, the man he had never gotten along with.
On the other hand, since Tony had not been sent into the Quantum Realm, Mephisto naturally could not resurrect his daughter.
Even trapped, Doctor Pym remained calm and said coldly,
"You're just as annoying as your father, Tony Stark. Do you think you've already won?"
Tony did not hold back and shot right back,
"All I know is that you're trapped inside that glass enclosure. And I'm outside, watching you like an ant."
According to the intelligence Tony had received, Ant-Man did not possess much offensive capability.
And even his armor could not break this Special Glass Enclosure.
The outdated Ant-Man Suit, which carried no weapons, had even less chance of breaking it.
Clearly, Tony did not know.
Pym Particles were also known as Unscientific Particles, Bug Particles.
"An ant?"
Doctor Pym suddenly grew larger.
He returned to normal human size, then continued expanding.
Bang!
Doctor Pym's expanding body slammed into the glass enclosure with a loud crash.
The next instant, the glass enclosure was squeezed apart, while Doctor Pym continued growing.
Until he had enlarged roughly fourteen times.
After breaking the glass enclosure, Doctor Pym swiftly shrank down and used the dust as cover to escape through the opening.
"What the fuck?"
Tony could not stop himself from cursing.
"J.A.R.V.I.S., hurry. Track his location."
"Yes, sir."
A moment later.
"Sorry, sir. Doctor Pym has evaded tracking."
"Shit, he got away."
"Sorry, sir."
"I wasn't talking about you, J.A.R.V.I.S."
"Shit!"
Having escaped Stark Tower, Doctor Pym cursed under his breath.
He was not in good condition.
Using Pym Particles to enter Giant-Man Form and break the glass enclosure had placed a heavy burden on his body.
What should he do next?
For a moment, Doctor Pym felt lost.
Tony had begun guarding against him, and the strengths and weaknesses of his Ant-Man Suit had been exposed to Tony almost completely.
He had only one final card left, one that had already been discovered.
That was to shrink to a subatomic size and make a desperate final gamble.
Afterward, he would likely become lost in the Quantum Realm as well.
Suddenly, Doctor Pym caught sight of a newspaper.
The headline read: The Stark Family Are Actually Frauds
Doctor Pym smiled disdainfully. He had known that twenty years ago.
The lines below caught his attention.
"Anton Vanko was the true inventor of the Arc Reactor. Howard Stark merely stole Anton Vanko's technology.
Then, taking advantage of the Cold War, he despicably cast Anton Vanko aside. Stark Industries should be called Vanko Industries, and Ivan Vanko should be Iron Man.
It is reported that Ivan Vanko independently developed a Miniature Arc Reactor under primitive conditions based on his father's manuscripts, proving himself even more gifted than Tony Stark.
Regrettably, this genius created weapons to attack Tony Stark in pursuit of revenge and was arrested. He is currently being held in"
As a witness to that incident back then, Doctor Pym knew full well that the newspaper was exaggerating.
But if Ivan Vanko really was a genius, what if I joined forces with him?
Only Giant-Man Form could bring out the greatest combat power of Pym Particles.
The human body could not solve the problem of insufficient oxygen after growing larger, nor could it endure the strain of Giant-Man Form for long.
But machines could.
Even if giant machines consumed enormous amounts of energy, an Arc Reactor could supply it.
My Pym Particles, plus Ivan Vanko's Drone Mechs and Arc Reactor.
We could absolutely defeat Tony Stark head-on, even Russell!
"Ivan Vanko, Anton Vanko's son, do you still want revenge against Tony Stark?"
