The Monster God had set her sights on the Sky Phoenix Maiden and intended for her to inherit the God position. But she did not want to hand it to her openly. Instead, as with past Divine Inheritances, she had let the Demigods enter the Inheritance Space and fight over the Inheritance Divine Artifact.
The Monster God knew that the Sky Phoenix Maiden's strongest rival was the Black Mountain King. If the Sky Phoenix Maiden lost to him inside the Inheritance Space, she would secretly help her. She had her own selfish motives: she did not want the God position to fall into the Black Mountain King's hands.
What the Monster God had not expected was for Fang Chen to emerge as a dark horse in this Divine Inheritance. Inside the Inheritance Space, he had single-handedly beaten the Demon Race's Demigods until they were utterly routed.
Even the Demon Race's Super Demigods, the Black Mountain King and the Sky Phoenix Maiden, had been no match for Fang Chen.
More than that, Fang Chen could now fight even her.
The Monster God was no longer at her peak, but however weak she had become, she was still a god. The gulf between a god and a Demigod was one no Demigod could cross.
Before Fang Chen appeared, everyone had believed that.
