While Fang Chen and the others wandered the streets of Xuanhuang City, the Ye Family Members outside wore grim expressions.
"Family Head, what should we do now? Fang Chen and those two bastards have gone into the Ancient City!"
The Spirit Dog Saint looked up at Ye Mian.
Ye Mian stared down at the Ancient City, his face dark. He had never expected this turn of events, and for some reason, a sense of foreboding gripped him.
Ye Mian did not know what to do. He wanted to attack the Ancient City with the Xuanhuang Pearl, but it was clearly connected to the Ye Family, perhaps even to the Xuanhuang Great Emperor. Until they uncovered its secrets, they did not want to destroy it.
Ye Chen said to Ye Mian, "Father, let me go into the city and take a look!"
Ye Mian shook his head slightly. "I don't know what's happening inside. I can't let you risk it. Let someone else go!"
"All right!"
Ye Chen nodded.
Ye Mian then selected two Saints from the Ye Family to enter the city.
At his command, the two Ye Family Saints flew toward the Ancient City below. As soon as they reached the air above it, a powerful force seized them and dragged them down into the city.
When the two Ye Family Saints landed in Xuanhuang City, they felt as though they had entered another time and space. An icy aura struck them. The streets were deserted, without a single Silhouette in sight.
"Strange. Where did everyone go?"
The two Ye Family Saints exchanged looks. When they were outside the city just now, they had seen Silhouettes filling the city and traffic streaming through its streets. Now they could not see a single Silhouette.
