"Understood!"
Elder Bai Ling nodded and prepared to leave with Fang Chen.
Fang Chen sent Elder Bai Ling a private message. "Elder Bai Ling, why do I get the feeling the Elf Queen looks down on us?"
Elder Bai Ling replied privately, "It's only natural. Given the situation, she's probably fallen into despair and can't see any hope. She likely thought the Human Race would send a great many people this time, but we've brought far fewer than she expected."
"Mm."
Fang Chen nodded slightly, then said privately, "Elder Bai Ling, ask the Elf Queen to give us as much time as possible. The longer we wait before making our move, the better it will be for us and the Elf Continent."
Bai Ling Quasi-Emperor's gaze sharpened. "How much time do you want?"
"As much as we can get, of course. If it's hard for you to ask, let me do it."
Bai Ling Quasi-Emperor shook her head. "No need. In the eyes of the Elf Race, I'm the commander of the Human Race's forces. I should be the one to say it."
"Fair enough."
Fang Chen gave his reply privately.
Bai Ling Quasi-Emperor said to the Elf Queen, "Your Majesty, conditions inside the Spatial Passage were terrible. Many of our soldiers lost consciousness and still haven't recovered. I'd like to give them more time to rest."
"Very well. Let me know when your people have recovered."
The Elf Queen gave Bai Ling Quasi-Emperor a slight nod.
Looking at the Elf Queen, Fang Chen said privately, "Elder Bai Ling, even if our people don't fight for now, we can still help the Elf Race."
"How?"
Bai Ling Quasi-Emperor looked at Fang Chen, puzzled. She could not imagine how they might help the Elf Race without sending their people into battle.
