Fang Chen noticed that the bamboo in the Bamboo Grove seemed different from his last visit. Back then, the stalks had been unmarked. Now, a golden line ran along bamboo that had once been a lush, dripping green.
"Hahaha! Elder Yun, come quickly! I found a whole nest!"
Li Yanshan burst out laughing. Fang Chen knew none of them could see him, so he walked over. In one section of a huge fallen bamboo stalk before Li Yanshan, he found a mass of bamboo grubs. Each was as thick as a finger, plump and white, with faint golden Runes on its body. One look told him these were no ordinary grubs.
"Wow, there are so many in this nest! Heh, tonight's drinking snacks are sorted!"
Elder Yun smiled happily at the sight of the grubs.
So that's why everyone came into the Bamboo Grove. They're chopping down bamboo to get grubs for drinking snacks!
