Surprise crossed Yue Canglan's and the Goddess Empress's faces when they heard Fang Chen. As they saw it, Ye Qingci had already entered the Core Space of the Green Grass Great Array. They had to wait until she came out before they could go in.
The Goddess Empress was the most puzzled. She had placed third in the competition. Even if they were taking turns, Yue Canglan would go before her. Yet Fang Chen was asking her to stay as well.
The others had not left yet. They, too, looked at Fang Chen in confusion, wondering why he had called Yue Canglan and the Goddess Empress back.
Fang Chen smiled. "My original plan was for everyone to enter the Core Space of the Green Grass Great Array one at a time to cultivate. But Senior Huo Li broke through ahead of schedule, and there's more Source Power of Emperors left than I imagined. Senior Huo Li absorbed only one-fifth of it. By his measure, what remains should be enough for at least four more cultivators to break through. To be safe, though, we'll have three people absorb it at the same time. That'll speed up cultivation considerably!"
"Ah, that explains it!"
Everyone came to understand after hearing Fang Chen's explanation.
"Right! That could save us a lot of time!" several of them said.
Fang Chen turned to Palace Mistress Lingxin. "Palace Mistress, you and the others will have to wait a little longer. Don't worry—we'll find a way to obtain more Source Power of Emperors for everyone!"
"Mm." Palace Mistress Lingxin nodded. "I'm in no hurry. Let Fellow Daoist Cang Lan and the others go first."
Fang Chen nodded, then addressed the rest. "Fellow Daoists, you may return to your cultivation and wait for news."
