The moment Ye Qingci saw the mushrooms, she ran to a fallen log. She crouched beside it and gazed at the mushrooms growing from the dead wood.
They were beautiful and blue, with Purple Lightning spots scattered across their caps like tiny drops of dew. The spots glowed with Purple Lightning, their light waxing and waning.

Ye Qingci nodded eagerly. "I'll pick them!"
Fang Chen nodded. "All right. You pick the mushrooms while I catch a couple of chickens. We'll make chicken and mushroom stew!"

Ye Qingci nodded to Fang Chen and set about picking mushrooms.

Half an hour later, a pot of steaming chicken and mushroom soup was ready. Fang Chen and Ye Qingci sat on stones around the fire, cradling large wooden bowls as they ate with relish.
As they ate, Fang Chen asked, "Qingci, you've already cultivated the Immortal Scripture of Indestructibility to the Seventh Layer, and you're stronger than many Saints. Why haven't you undergone
