Tony could hear the howling wind through his earpiece. It was coming from Jessica's side.

"Jessica, you have to stop now!"

"Why?"

"Why? Didn't you study physics?" Tony snapped. "Unless you're a Kryptonian, there's no way you can withstand the energy generated by two ten-million-ton aircraft carriers colliding!"

"But we have no other option right now. I want to try."

The teenager's stubbornness was driving Tony insane. He could only try a different approach...

"What about Natasha and Steve? The moment those two warships collide, they'll definitely die!"

"They'll parachute out before then. The ocean is nearby, so their chances of survival are high."

Well, damn. You guys had already worked out the whole plan behind my back, hadn't you? Tony was getting increasingly exasperated.

"Tony, you could use this method too..."

That was simply impossible. To slow the carriers' ascent earlier, Tony had already destroyed the turbines on both warships. At this altitude, there was no way he had enough room to pull off that kind of maneuver.

He could only continue with the original plan, but before beginning his own operation, he still had a little time to watch Jessica's side.

The carrier's immense bulk created tremendous air resistance, but its enormous mass allowed gravity to hold the vessel in a death grip. After violently rubbing against the atmosphere, the temperature at the points of friction quickly surpassed 300 degrees Celsius.

Flames had already appeared across the carrier's exterior, while its exhaust trail scattered countless fragments in every direction.

The intense wind pressure made it impossible for Jessica to open her eyes. Even her flight speed was beginning to fall behind the carrier's rate of descent.

When it was still several hundred meters away from the other carrier, the falling vessel predictably went off course. Its direction was
