Dane could not even see where their sensory organs were. Like faceless beasts, he could not yet figure out what principle allowed them to fly.

Once they drew close, Dane first tried to lock onto them with his mental power. He found that he could clearly sense the emotional shifts of all ten people and even know what they were thinking.

Mental communication differed from language. Its meaning could be understood directly, without any need for interpretation.

Not only could Dane read the thoughts of those ten people, but he could also read the minds of the creatures beneath them. This meant they could likewise be controlled by his abilities.

Dane immediately activated his power. The ten people instantly fell from the sky as though frozen in place, crashing down not far from him.

Dane spread his hand and made a pulling motion. An invisible force field instantly dragged them before him.

He placed his palm against one of them and directly read the man's memories. A few minutes later, after digesting them, he had gained a general understanding of the situation.

Unfortunately, this man did not possess the information Dane needed. He was merely a tribesman who had spent his entire life confined to one place and had never ventured far from the tribal settlement, so there was very little useful information in his memories.

However, Dane learned from the man's memories that the tribe's leader was quite knowledgeable. He knew about the other regions and even conducted trade with people from them.

Dane thought that if he wanted more information, he might have to find a way through this so-called tribal leader.
