Although the Merchant Alliance did not nominally rule the world, for a considerable period of time, they had always represented the most advanced force in the entire Quantum Realm.

It was just that in this Quantum Realm, living comfortably was actually quite easy. Without special events to catalyze them, all technology and civilization developed extremely slowly.

Even so, over all these years, the Merchant Alliance had accumulated many technologies that even caught Dane's eye.

Of course, most of those technologies were region-specific. Completely replicating them in the real world would be difficult and not worth the cost.

However, using them to study the fundamental properties of all things and draw broader inferences was still very useful.

Take this device that blocked psychic abilities. It was extremely common within the Quantum Realm, and many organisms themselves possessed the ability to isolate psychic detection.

That was probably because there were many species in the Quantum Realm with mental abilities, so this world naturally possessed things that countered such species.

Among the Merchant Alliance's stored goods, Dane found a rare plant-like organism. He did not know what category to place it in. This organism did not need photosynthesis, and even with the naked eye, there was no sign that it exchanged matter with the outside world.

Yet from a more microscopic perspective, this organism was constantly exchanging certain substances with another environment, and its metabolism was also completed within that environment.

Its body resembled the vine-like plants of the real world, but it was blue and translucent. When Dane projected his mind toward it, he discovered that he could receive feedback from the creature.

The creature took on different postures and even colors depending on the emotions Dane projected toward it, like a mirror of emotions.
