Although the World Serpent's body was merely mortal flesh, it had been formed from the flesh, blood, bones, and remains of over a thousand humans and several hundred Asgardians.

Its strength far surpassed that of ordinary Asgardians. Without the enhancement of divine power, even Thor could not compare to it, and even Hulk fell slightly short.

Yet even so, this body had still been left torn and mangled by Dane's fists.
