After Captain Marvel left Earth decades ago, her first stop had been Hala, the Kree homeworld. She had directly destroyed the Supreme Intelligence, the leader the Kree worshipped as a god.

Because of the Supreme Intelligence's death, the Kree had been preoccupied with civil war for decades. They had no time to concern themselves with the conflict between Xandar and Ronan.

If the timeline continued as it should, within ten years at the earliest, the Kree would turn their own homeworld, Hala, into a dead world filled with toxic gas, desperately short on water, with even its sun nearly extinguished.

Nova's hope that the Kree would discipline Ronan, that mad dog, was pure fantasy. The Kree did not even have a proper leader now; they were too busy beating each other bloody.

Xandar apparently did not know this. Nova's expression was one of shock when she heard the intelligence Dane revealed.

In Captain Marvel 2, Carol Danvers had flown into the core of a star and reignited its fusion reaction. Lighting Hala's stellar core was presumably no difficult task for her.

Honestly, with Captain Marvel's absurdly overwhelming power, he could not understand how that female villain in the second film had managed to trade blows with her.

"So now you understand. Ronan dared to make trouble for you because he no longer has anyone restraining him. Trying to resolve him through diplomacy is impossible."
