Chen Changsheng and Gwen may not have learned about love at Dr. Otto's, but as they left, they were arm in arm.

Seeing them occasionally lean in to whisper in each other's ears, it's highly probable they gained some understanding of love.

At Dr. Otto's home, Chen Changsheng not only absorbed Dr. Otto's spirit but also finalized the timeline for the experimental funding.

Chen Changsheng had just received one hundred million dollars from General Ross, and he generously invested fifty million in Otto's project, a sign of respect for the scientist.

With a massive influx of capital, Dr. Otto's nuclear fusion project research progressed at lightning speed and soon moved from preparation to the experimental phase.

Meanwhile, Peter Parker, due to financial difficulties, was already working multiple jobs. Of course, the bulk of his income still came from selling photos of Spider-Man to the Daily Bugle.

Chen Changsheng had to admit, Spider-Man was incredibly busy, juggling studies, a part-time job at the newspaper, and most importantly, helping the citizens of New York on the streets.

Even with such a packed schedule, Peter's academic performance remained undiminished, a talent truly worth envying.

Dr. Otto's experiment had captured the attention of every reporter in New York. After all, an experiment long touted as a new dawn for human technology was something everyone would want to witness.

Peter Parker, a part-time reporter for the Daily Bugle, rushed to Dr. Otto's laboratory at the earliest opportunity, eager to witness the birth of this new dawn for human technology.

Thanks to his previous interview with Dr. Otto, Peter had already earned a substantial reward. If Dr. Otto's nuclear fusion test was successful this time, Peter might just get another windfall.

With sufficient financial investment, Dr. Otto's progress was far superior to what was depicted in movies; at the very least, everything proceeded smoothly from the start.

Finally, under the intense beam of a powerful laser, the two fusion materials began to merge, erupting in a brilliant light.

Watching Dr. Otto laboriously use his mechanical arms to converge the fusion materials in the center of the reactor, a tremendous force swept through the area, like a speeding train, creating gusts of wind pressure.

The energy from the nuclear fusion reaction was rapidly converted into electrical energy through a conversion device and injected into the gravity containment system, using electromagnetic force to forcibly counteract gravity. Although the sensation of being pulled by two opposing forces was unpleasant, everyone was able to maintain their footing and watch the experiment intently. As they gazed at the quietly operating miniature fusion sun, applause and cheers spontaneously erupted from the crowd.

Just as everyone felt the experiment was a success and humanity was about to enter a new era, a green figure on a glider burst into the experimental site.

Accompanied by a chilling, sinister laugh, the green figure on the glider threw a special pumpkin bomb towards the artificial sun that Dr. Otto was struggling to stabilize.

The explosion of the pumpkin bomb caused Dr. Otto to lose control of the artificial sun. The massive explosion triggered a chain reaction. The miniature fusion sun erupted in a huge flame that first broke through the electromagnetic field, heading directly for Dr. Otto.

Instinctively, Dr. Otto wrapped himself in his artificial mechanical arms. While effective, the consequences were severe.

Although Dr. Otto's life was saved, the immense shockwave completely destroyed the neural connection device linked to his brain. Dr. Otto's spinal nerves became entangled with the metal needles.

Fortunately, Chen Changsheng wasn't too far from Rosemary and managed to save Dr. Otto's wife while escaping.

Chen Changsheng truly didn't want the loving couple to endure any painful memories. Dr. Otto's fate was unknown, so for now, he could only protect Rosemary.

Many agile security personnel were also attempting to rescue people, but with the artificial sun out of control, everything was spiraling into chaos. Even with their high caliber, the security personnel's efforts were limited, managing to save only those nearby.

Having lived in this world for so long, Chen Changsheng naturally wouldn't entrust his safety to others. Since he had surplus Biomass, Chen Changsheng had already created several enhanced soldiers. However, as these security personnel were merely decorative at the Umbrella Corporation headquarters, Chen Changsheng hadn't invested too much effort in them, and their strength was only average. Faced with such chaos, they were surprisingly unable to help.

The uncontrolled artificial sun triggered widespread panic. The reporters who remained lucid quickly pressed their camera shutters, capturing the green figure gliding through the sky with their lives.

Tomorrow, this would be the biggest headline.

With a tremendous explosion, the artificial sun finally collapsed under the immense pressure. A rain of fire poured down on the surrounding area. Those who were too close were instantly incinerated into ashes.

Everyone within the flames turned to charcoal, leaving no survivors. Dr. Otto, however, who was at the epicenter, was somewhat better off. The sheer force of the explosion blew away the flames, and he only sustained some impact damage.

Although Dr. Otto and those who turned to ashes were slightly better off, their charred state indicated they hadn't fared well at all.

Peter Parker, amidst the crowd, though dazed by the explosion, quickly changed into his Spider-Man suit in the chaos.

As Peter sprinted, Spider-Man officially made his debut. The high dome offered numerous anchor points for his webs, perfect for Spider-Man's abilities, while the flying Green Goblin was restricted by the space, unable to unleash his full power.

In a short time, the Green Goblin was struck by Spider-Man due to his own miscalculation. The immense strength of Spider-Man's mutation made even the armored and enhanced Norman Osborn wonder if he had been hit by a truck.

Seeing Spider-Man swing back on his webs, the Green Goblin threw several pumpkin bombs towards the crowd, gambling that Spider-Man would turn back to save them.

Spider-Man did not disappoint, turning to stop the impending explosions. The Green Goblin, using the distraction, laughed and escaped the immediate danger.

As Spider-Man battled the Green Goblin, Umbrella Corporation security personnel once again braved the flames, rescuing Dr. Otto.

Dr. Otto, now a charred husk, was completely still, emitting a faint smell of burnt flesh. The reason he wasn't immediately sent for cremation was that Chen Changsheng felt Dr. Otto could still be saved.

Under the watchful eyes of Umbrella Corporation's medical staff, Chen Changsheng injected Dr. Otto with a potent dose of Life Essence.

Miraculously, Dr. Otto, who had been motionless, began to breathe again after the injection, his chest rising and falling.

The medical personnel were stunned, only snapping back to reality after Chen Changsheng prompted them. They quickly took Dr. Otto back to Umbrella Corporation.

At this point, all the people Chen Changsheng cared about had been rescued. Watching Spider-Man swing through the air, battling the Green Goblin with his webs, Chen Changsheng turned and left.

He decided these two should settle their own grievances. As for how to deal with the Green Goblin, Chen Changsheng had a plan.

This Green Goblin had ruined Dr. Otto's experiment, causing Chen Changsheng a significant financial loss. How could his losses be compensated?

Besides Osborn Industries, Chen Changsheng couldn't think of anything else Norman Osborn possessed that could quell his anger.
