• Chen Changsheng negotiated with Heisenberg for crystals and machine tools, then expanded his research operations and collected Original Flowers and Progenitor Virus samples in Africa.
• Chen Changsheng fought Wesker, drove him to retreat, and later contained outbreaks while preparing Ocean City and other defenses against the spreading zombie crisis.
• Chen Changsheng created controllable Mushroom Person Clones and joined the Four Great Nobles in confronting Miranda as she attempted to complete the Fungal Lord’s emergence.
• Chen Changsheng seized control of the powerful Mushroom Man Clone, helped defeat Miranda, and gained the allegiance of the Duke and most of the surviving village residents.

Chen Changsheng rebuilt his power and influence across several worlds, survived the 2012 apocalypse, and entered the Matrix to study its people and technology. After absorbing Tank’s knowledge and defeating Morpheus in virtual combat, he pushed the simulation beyond its limits, alarming the Hovercraft crew.

• Chen Changsheng returned to the Prototype World, built a Blacklight Body, created Red Queen, and developed biological computers while gathering Crystal Cores and Biomass.
• Chen Changsheng learned that the Duke had killed Donna and seized the breeding base, defeated the Duke’s Mushroom Person, resurrected Donna, and spread insect nests and Willow Trees across the world.
• Chen Changsheng returned to reality, controlled American leaders, and entered the 2012 World, where he built a private ark and helped people survive the global disasters.
• Chen Changsheng sailed with the ark passengers through the tsunami, then restored Earth’s ecosystems with Flesh Arks and returned to reality to prepare for another journey.
• Chen Changsheng entered the Matrix, investigated the Mechanical City and its human power farms, absorbed Neo, and joined Morpheus’s crew aboard the Nebuchadnezzar.
• Chen Changsheng learned to read the Matrix’s code, absorbed Tank’s scientific knowledge, and fought Morpheus in a virtual dojo.
• Chen Changsheng exceeded the virtual world’s limits until his punches caused data fluctuations and garbled characters on the real-world screen, prompting Tank to alert the crew.

Chen Changsheng rescued Morpheus, built a fleet, and pursued the Locksmith to the Source, where the Architect revealed the Matrix’s cycle and Smith’s threat. As Smith spread into the Mechanical Empire’s system, Chen Changsheng began building a virtual world and sought a way to reach the Mechanical Emperor’s real-world body.

• Chen Changsheng escaped Cypher’s attack aboard the Nebuchadnezzar, rescued Morpheus, and founded Genesis to explore the Matrix and test its Agents.
• Chen Changsheng met the Oracle, learned that Merovingian had imprisoned the Locksmith, and fought his way into a temporary deal to use him.
• Chen Changsheng recruited the Locksmith, entered the Source, and heard the Architect explain the Matrix’s sixth version and the coming destruction of Zion.
• Chen Changsheng watched Smith’s Agents kill the Architect, took the ballpoint pen that controlled the Matrix, and enlisted Merovingian to help build a virtual world.
• Chen Changsheng connected his hive computer to the Mechanical Empire’s network, created Red Queen, and used the pen to establish a hidden home for exile programs.
• Chen Changsheng learned that Smith had killed the Oracle’s former form, assimilated one-fifth of humanity, and breached the Matrix to attack the Mechanical Empire’s system.
• Chen Changsheng insisted that the Oracle take him to the Mechanical Emperor’s real-world main body after learning that Smith had made the system a battlefield.

Chen Changsheng defeated Smith’s threat, negotiated a partnership with the Mechanical Emperor, and began rebuilding human civilization and the world. He left the arc with the Spiritual Realm flourishing, a vast African ecosystem growing around the Willow Tree, and new miniature machines spreading across the ground.

• Chen Changsheng helped the Mechanical Emperor resist Smith, then negotiated humanity’s freedom to choose between reality and the Matrix and evacuated the surviving humans from the simulation.
• Chen Changsheng allied with Smith to cripple the Mechanical Empire’s systems and strip Smith of the human computing power he had seized, then absorbed Smith and recovered his host-body coordinates.
• Chen Changsheng persuaded the Mechanical Emperor to accept him as an equal friend and partner, restored the Matrix, and helped humans in reality survive while Neo organized rescues.
• Chen Changsheng gave the Mechanical Emperor a Nuclear Fusion Reactor and used the Mechanical Empire’s factories to produce more, while searching for ways to disperse the clouds of miniature machines.
• Chen Changsheng organized survivor settlements and insect-human crews, which cleared a large, sunlit opening in the clouds, and he and the Mechanical Emperor built Mechanical City beneath it.
• Chen Changsheng accelerated time in the Matrix, developed the Spiritual Realm for reincarnated humans, and uploaded volunteers’ consciousnesses into a virtual world where they could live independently.
• Chen Changsheng brought the Prophet, Persephone, and other programs into the Spiritual Realm, imprisoned Merovingian there through reincarnation, and watched the Mechanical Divine Kingdom and Flesh and Blood Kingdom take shape.
• Chen Changsheng planted the Willow Tree in Africa, where it spread a new ecosystem and Fungal Lord began collecting memories, and over the next decade, the Spiritual Realm flourished and miniature machines started spreading across the ground.
