I Said No One Would Die!
The barking of dogs echoed throughout the castle, clearly indicating that they had also discovered the dead dog-headed men on the lower two levels!
"Damn it, those lion-men! I knew I couldn't trust them. They're just a bunch of beasts!" Hearing the Black-Clothed Woman curse under her breath, Su Mo realized the seriousness of the situation.
At this moment, for reasons unknown, the lion-men suddenly retreated, and all the kobolds returned to their castle.
Returning via the excavated pit has become a pipe dream.
With his body turned to the side, Su Mo pointed the gun at the Black-Clothed Woman while adjusting his gaze to look outside.
Beyond the stairwell, a Kobold Warrior could be seen charging into the fourth floor, barking loudly at the kobold corpses on the ground.
Meanwhile, its barking also elicited a response from the kobolds below.
For a moment, the castle seemed to be shaking. Even without judging by the sound, Su Mo could guess that at least a thousand kobolds had returned to the castle.
Did they think I was a sitting duck? Seeing the stupid dog still barking at the stairwell, Su Mo hardened his heart, turned his gun around, and fired a shot at the Kobold Warrior.
Thirty meters away, a precise shot blew the kobold's head off, silencing the annoying noise! Sensing the danger, the Black-Clothed Woman quickly retracted her Riot Shield and said anxiously:
"So, is it possible for us to go back along the same road?"
Once surrounded, the two were in the same boat, so there was no need for them to continue their confrontation.
"Go! Go up!"
Su Mo remained calm, not even glancing at the remaining food and supplies, and quickly racked his brains for a solution.
It's impossible for a single person to single-handedly defeat the thousands of kobolds below. Even without a warlock, the Kobold Warrior could wear him down with Relay Battle.
The only option now is to go up to the city wall; there's still a glimmer of hope there.
Seeing the Black-Clothed Woman had already put up her Riot Shield and was looking around, Su Mo gritted his teeth and directly pulled out 80,000 Volt Electric Baton from his Storage Space!
With a flick of the switch, Su Mo showed no mercy, striking the Black-Clothed Woman squarely in the back! Zzzzzzzzz The blow landed squarely on the Black-Clothed Man's back, instantly knocking her to the ground.
Eighty thousand volts seems terrifying, but the extremely small current cannot cause much harm to the human body; it can only temporarily knock someone unconscious! However, the Black-Clothed Woman seemed to have enhanced her body as well. Although she fell to the ground after being hit by Su Mo, she remained fully conscious!
"Huh, is the stun gun malfunctioning?"
Seeing the resentful look in the Black-Clothed Woman's eyes on the ground, Su Mo reached out and flipped her over, then gave her another electric shock to her still twitching legs.
After that, the Black-Clothed Woman immediately became much more obedient, and her whole body fell into a prolonged state of paralysis.
Su Mo pulled out Hemp Rope from his Storage Space and, under the other woman's terrified gaze, quickly tied a knot around his body, while simultaneously flipping the Black-Clothed Woman over and binding her tightly to his body.
"Remember this: from this moment on, you owe me a life!"
The Black-Clothed Woman was not heavy, weighing less than 100 pounds. Even with his enhanced body, Su Mo felt no strain while carrying her.
He tugged at the rope end, tied another tight knot to make sure it wouldn't fall, then put the crossbow into his Storage Space. With a gun in one hand and a spear in the other, Su Mo quickly rushed out!
The thick Hemp Rope brought a great sense of restraint, but at the same time, because it was used to carry people, the center of gravity was very stable.
Carried on his back, Carola, her whole body tingling from the electric shock, drooled constantly from the corners of her mouth as Su Mo carried her out in a flurry of activity.
With no outsiders to stop him, and seeing the kobolds still charging upwards below, Su Mo, his head covered, chose the right direction and went straight up to the fifth floor.
The castle has five floors, but if you include the watchtower floors, it has Sixth Floor.
The entrance to the fifth floor is located in the upper right corner of the fourth floor, diagonally opposite the Treasure Room.
With the electric power steering activated, Su Mo ran at lightning speed, finally reaching the fifth floor before the kobold could reach the fourth.
But on the fifth floor, there were also kobolds rushing down!
And there were quite a few of them, about thirty in total! With a turn of her head, the Black-Clothed Woman behind her caught a glimpse of them. Although she couldn't move, she could still clearly see so many kobolds.
At this moment, unable to move, only able to watch, a tremendous sense of despair welled up in her heart! So many kobolds, let alone one person, even two people fighting together might not be able to defeat them in a short time.
Am I going to die?
The moment the thought arose, before she could continue to ponder her last words, a series of booming sounds suddenly exploded in her ears.
Wielding dual pistols, Su Mo showed no mercy to the charging kobold squad, taking down six Warlock Kobold in the back with eight consecutive shots.
The K-1 Handgun isn't very powerful, but that's only against Riot Shield. Against kobolds without any protective gear, it's a nightmare!
With four bullets left in each of his pistols as spares, he tucked them into his waistband, and holding his Fine Iron Spear, Su Mo remained silent and charged forward.
The opposing kobold warrior was still stunned by the warlock being slaughtered by Su Mo. As soon as the two sides made contact, they showed signs of defeat.
The immense force, combined with the electric cutting power of the spear, sent the six warriors in Su Mo flying several meters away like falling leaves with just a single contact!
The remaining kobold warriors were also surprised that creatures similar to themselves could unleash such Giant Strength, and for a moment they were a little frightened and took a step back.
Strike while the iron is hot! With his newfound martial arts skills, Su Mo immediately noticed a stark difference in his approach during group battles.
Compared to wild swings, this targeted approach not only conserves energy but also ensures that each strike hits the right spot, maximizing damage.
A total of twenty kobolds were wiped out by Su Mo in just four breaths.
After collecting all the dropped treasure chests, and seeing that there were no more obstacles ahead, Su Mo continued running forward without stopping.
Hanging behind her, Carola's face was numb from the electric shock. Although she couldn't show any shock, her pounding heart still expressed the shock she felt inside!
On the ground behind, the Warlock Kobold all had chrysanthemum-shaped holes in their heads, and several kobolds on the ground had been smashed in two by the huge impact.
Of course, most of the kobolds weren't really dead; they just had their spines broken and were lying on the ground howling in pain.
Even so, their terrifying combat power sent a chill down her spine! The whistling wind swept past her ears, and compared to the unease she had felt for the past ten days in the wasteland, a sense of peace miraculously welled up within her now, in the kobolds' lair.
Unfortunately, her numb lips wouldn't allow her to speak. In her field of vision, the four-story staircase quickly disappeared, and she arrived at the fifth floor!
"Damn it, I knew the lionmen had retreated! It turns out the northeast wind had changed to a southwest wind, and the fire could no longer reach the kobolds' castle!"
Standing on the city wall, watching the lion-man caravan depart into the distance, Su Mo's face was extremely grim.
Such a change in wind direction is like a game; how can it change so quickly in such a short time!
"We can't get down! We'll die! Let me go!"
"Shut up!" came the rude interruption from "Carola".
Standing on the city wall, feeling the cold wind on his face and looking at the burning bushes and forests ahead, Su Mo's heart pounded.
The roars from inside the castle were getting closer and closer. Although the battle hadn't delayed them, they had eventually caught up! With heavy steps, Su Mo continued to move forward resolutely.
Step by step, until he stood atop the kobold's watchtower, his steps came to a halt! Here, at least 30 meters above the ground! At a height of thirty meters, even with an enhanced body, there was absolutely no chance of survival.
Unless the game's art style suddenly changes to Assassin's Creed and there's a place with straw below, jumping off from here is a guaranteed death sentence!
The fierce snowflakes raged even more fiercely high in the sky, scraping against Su Mo's mask like knives, making a rustling sound.
Behind them, kobolds were already charging up! Having witnessed the tragic fate of their kind before, the kobold squad dared not approach Su Mo standing on the watchtower, only barking wildly as they waited for the main force to surround and attack!
"Su Mo, put me down. Let's escape to either side; we might be able to get away. I have Hemp Rope in my storage space. Put me down."
The 80,000 volts, applied to humans who had been enhanced once in the wasteland, gradually lost their effectiveness.
Hearing the Black-Clothed Woman call his name from behind, Su Mo showed no shock whatsoever; instead, he became even more calm.
"Who said I'm going to die! These kobolds can't keep me alive!"
Holding dual pistols and looking at the kobolds in the distance, Su Mo calmly fired two shots.
The most vocal kobold was instantly ripped open, blood gushing from the large hole in its skull, causing the other kobolds to retreat in terror.
"Hahahaha! You think you can catch me?"
Standing on the high platform, feeling the wind speed increasing and the fire starting to fall back, Su Mo smiled and stood on the edge of the watchtower.
"Are you crazy! Let's go down and fight; there's still a chance we can survive."
Hanging behind her, looking down at the snow-covered ground in the distance, and feeling the lingering heat even after the fire had subsided, the Black-Clothed Woman panicked.
Unfortunately, Su Mo did not respond to her.
At this moment, only the deafening barking of dogs could be heard between heaven and earth. More and more kobolds had climbed the city walls. At the same time, their large numbers and Su Mo's inaction had emboldened some of the bolder kobolds to slowly approach.
The process of waiting for death was not pleasant, especially since she was unable to move and was tied to her back. Before she could continue speaking, a voice exuding boundless confidence exploded in her ear:
"I told you, no one will die!"
Turning to look at the kobolds about to charge, Su Mo removed his mask, a faint smile on his face. Without hesitation, he fired the remaining two bullets, striking the Kobold Warlock was about to catch up.
The next instant, under the gaze of the Black-Clothed Woman, a huge yellow canvas triangular iron frame appeared in Su Mo's hand.
Facing the distant fire and the ground more than thirty meters below, amidst the terrified gazes of all the kobolds, Su Mo smiled freely and leaped out!
