Background / History
Harry survived the Killing Curse as an infant because of a powerful protective spell cast by his mother. The attack left him with a forehead scar containing unusually complex dark magic, which Cyberlina later connects to Voldemort and Harry’s ability to speak Parseltongue. 5 11 12
During his second year, Harry becomes the focus of Cyberlina Sekerei’s interest. After she uses Legilimency on him, she apologizes and explains that his ability to speak with snakes is rare, feared, and likely connected to Voldemort’s influence through his scar. 10 12
Cyberlina recruits Harry for nighttime expeditions into Salazar Slytherin’s hidden study and the Chamber of Secrets. Under her unconventional instruction and Snape’s reluctant supervision, Harry studies dark magic, emotional control, and practical spellcasting. 14 15 16
Harry later helps uncover Peter Pettigrew’s identity through the Marauder’s Map and learns of Pettigrew’s betrayal of his parents. This leads to Sirius Black’s retrial and acquittal, allowing Harry to meet his godfather. 32 35 36
Appearance
Harry is a bespectacled boy with messy hair, green eyes, and a scar on his forehead left by Voldemort’s Killing Curse. 5 12 16
- Round glasses, which he adjusts after stressful encounters. 16
- A distinctive forehead scar that can itch or hurt when dark magic is involved. 5 12
- Often wears Gryffindor school robes and later uses an Invisibility Cloak during secret excursions. 14
Personality
Harry is curious, impulsive, and inclined toward dangerous discoveries, particularly when Hogwarts’ secrets or Voldemort are involved. He agrees to explore Slytherin’s hidden passages despite being uneasy around Snape and frightened by the risks. 14 19
He is brave but initially lacks tactical discipline. During the Basilisk encounter, he reacts with courage and attempts several spells, yet loses his wand and exhausts himself using overly demanding magic. Cyberlina pushes him to rely on planning and simple spells rather than raw force. 20 21
Harry values loyalty and becomes increasingly open with Ron and Hermione after initially concealing his lessons. He also shows compassion toward Hagrid and a strong desire to meet Sirius after learning the truth about his godfather. 17 30 35
Abilities & Skills
Parseltongue
Harry can understand and speak snake language, an ability normally associated with Salazar Slytherin’s bloodline. Cyberlina believes Voldemort’s dark magic within Harry’s scar is responsible for the ability. 11 12
- Opens a snake-statue door in Slytherin’s hidden passage. 14
- Leads Dumbledore and Snape through the route to the Chamber of Secrets. 19
- Serves as a living key to Slytherin-related magical locks, making him vulnerable to being used by others. 21
- Is feared in the wizarding world, prompting Cyberlina to advise him to keep it secret. 12
Dark Magic Studies
Cyberlina teaches Harry that dark magic is defined by intent, emotional state, and use rather than by a simplistic division between “good” and “evil” spells. 15 16
- Uses the Cruciatus Curse on Cyberlina under her instruction to understand the malice required to cast it. 15
- Learns to recognize how dark magic can influence emotion and thought. 16
- Begins preparing to learn Occlumency, a discipline that resists Legilimency. 18
- Receives practical instruction in Slytherin’s study with Snape supervising. 15 16
Combat Magic
Harry develops practical combat experience while facing the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets. 20 21
- Casts Impedimenta and Flipendo while evading the Basilisk. 20
- Uses Incendio and Diffindo during the battle. 21

- Requires guidance to manage magical exhaustion and maintain strategy under pressure. 21
Deduction
Harry shows growing skill at connecting clues, especially in investigations involving Voldemort’s diary and Hogwarts’ hidden threats. 35
- Deduces that the diary’s fragment of Voldemort could not have placed itself in Hogwarts because it did not know it had previously been there. 35
- Connects Dobby’s access to Hogwarts with outside visitors at the Quidditch match, leading him to suspect Lucius Malfoy. 35
- Understands that information from Tom Riddle’s diary can help clear Hagrid’s name. 30
