History

Great Chu was founded roughly three hundred years ago. Its founding emperor used the nation’s resources to investigate a previously unknown world, naming it the Sky Demon Realm after identifying it as the source of “enemies from beyond the heavens” and demonic influence. 8

Before Great Chu’s modern reforms, martial arts were dominated by jianghu sects, martial families, and clans. Zhao Yingchun abandoned his own martial-family status to follow the Grand Ancestor during the nation’s turbulent founding period. He later led the Tianshan Reform, replacing sect- and clan-based transmission with university-style education, integrating martial arts with science and technology, and establishing the modern Qi and Blood martial arts system. 44

This reform ushered Great Chu into an era of universal martial arts. The National Obligatory Basic Fist Art became the nation’s principal foundation-building art and has been practiced by billions of citizens. 13 44

Great Chu assesses the Sky Demon Realm as a hierarchical pyramid, though its internal classifications are believed to be more complex than the categories currently known to humanity. 512

Divine Temple Strategy

The Millennium Plan is Great Chu’s long-term strategy for counterattacking the Sky Demon Realm. Divine Temples can function as teleportation arrays, potentially allowing sufficiently powerful human martial artists to enter the Sky Demon Realm rather than remain on the defensive. 535

Great Chu treats faith corrupted by Sky Demons as a national-security threat. Temples affected by Demon Contamination are to be converted into Martial Shrines; compromised deity statues are melted into Demon-Suppressing Steles, while incense offerings are redirected into martial arts destiny. 535

Most Martial Arts Great Sages do not remain in the human world permanently, as their physiques place a burden on the world’s rules. Many instead operate in the Sky Demon Realm or rotate through critical defensive duties. 668
