But he thought that since The Eldest Prince had told him before that he had observed this location since childhood, he slowly headed forward.
"The Second Prince, come out now! Your pointless struggle is completely useless!" he shouted. The forest created more echoes here, allowing Uchiha Hiko's voice to carry farther.
However, no matter how much he shouted, it seemed to be of no help. He slowly waited ahead, hoping that The Second Prince would come out and surrender.
"This all seems futile. How can I expect The Second Prince to come out and surrender on his own? That's impossible." Uchiha Hiko shook his head and prepared to venture deeper inside.
Birds continued to fly past in waves around him. Although the weather here was fine, those birds seemed to reveal an even more conspicuous radiance.
It was as if something was gleaming on the birds, the reflected light scattering Uchiha Hiko's vision until he could barely make out the path ahead.
He comforted himself, thinking that this was surely a normal occurrence at night. But upon careful thought, this forest seemed to be exerting a subtle bewildering effect on him as well.
"How could this be? The light here seems extremely unusual. I wonder what kind of Magic Power is stimulating me." Uchiha Hiko had to be more careful now, or he might suffer a series of injuries.
Sure enough, as he walked forward, he discovered something like an animal trap on the ground. He slowly tossed a pebble into it, and it immediately snapped shut.
"No, it seems someone has passed through this forest, and someone must have been here before." He felt that whoever had done this harbored ill intent, though they did not seem powerful. It was as though they wanted to obstruct Uchiha Hiko's progress.
