These octopuses had almost no natural enemies in the Thirteenth Heaven.
Their only flaw was that they could not leave the Triangle Caves where they hid, leaving them with an extremely limited range of activity.
What kind of creature could drive the octopuses into such a frantic flight?
"Clang, clang, clang..."
Following close behind the octopuses was Luo Zheng, trapped inside the Bronze Iron Plate.
He rolled all the way down the steep mountainside, the Bronze Iron Plate crashing against the rocks and making an enormous racket.
"Clang!"
In the end, Luo Zheng slammed into the valley, with more than half his body embedded in the ground.
The two Pig-faced Monsters beside him went deathly pale. They had only narrowly avoided being crushed by Luo Zheng. If he had really hit them, they would have died without a doubt.
"What on earth happened..."
"Look, what's that?"
"It looks like azure jade..."
The Pig-faced Monsters had lived by the Black Pool for many years and knew quite a bit about it.
The creatures in the Black Pool were extremely peculiar. The Azure Jade Worms were only one species, and the lowest-ranking one at that.
The Azure Jade Worms were not flesh-and-blood creatures in the usual sense, either. Their entire bodies looked as though they had been carved from azure jade, and their texture was extraordinarily hard.
And this strange form of life was not unique in the Black Pool.
Some Pig-faced Monsters had seen giant beasts emerge from the Black Pool. Their entire bodies were a greenish-blue, with the exact same texture as the Azure Jade Worms. However, these Azure Jade Giant Beasts had appeared only once or twice. Many members of the Pig-faced Monster clan simply refused to believe in them, claiming they were nothing more than rumors.
As for
