Background

Clone awakening and inherited identity

Meng Fanxing is Lu Changfeng's first Dragon Scale clone. After Lu Changfeng's Human King body regresses in the interstellar era, his consciousness merges with Meng Fanxing on a resource planet controlled by the Black Sea Civilization. 250

The clone's public identity is that of a Green Source Star native from a multigenerational mining family. Meng Fanxing had worked as a miner in Colong Town for two years before the consciousness transfer. 250 251

Lu Changfeng had left resources for this eventual awakening, including an anonymous Central Bank card containing 100 million Black Coins. Upon recovering it, Meng Fanxing resolves to live under this identity and pursue longevity through the technological path of the Black Sea Civilization. 250

Rise of Fanxing Mining

Meng Fanxing purchases the struggling Hongyuan Mining Company for 30 million Black Coins and retains former owner Ye Hongyuan to help him learn its operations. He also keeps Lombard as security captain, avoiding immediate personnel changes. 251

After ending his relationship with Ye Lingling and killing Blackwater Gang leader Duran in self-defense, Meng Fanxing renames Hongyuan Mining as Fanxing Mining. 252

Using his energy sensitivity and mining knowledge, he identifies a rich Green Source Ore deposit and establishes Fanxing No. 1 Mine. The deposit is projected to produce more than 300 million Black Coins in annual profit for at least three years. 252

Meng Fanxing views top-tier mecha piloting as the quickest route to understanding Bio-Mecha technology and extending his life. 252 His reputation as the Green Source War God brings him into contact with Green Source Star's government, the Sea King Mech Company, and the highest council of the Black Sea Civilization. 261 266 276

Council Member Number Three recruits Meng Fanxing to assassinate Council Member Number Two in exchange for access to the Bio-Mecha project. Number Three later betrays him by ordering the Terminator Unit 2 to self-destruct after the mission. Meng Fanxing survives with Tian Yue's assistance and becomes a wanted criminal. 277 278

On Black Emperor Star, Meng Fanxing and Tian Yue secure Bio-Mechas during the conflict surrounding the project. Meng Fanxing escapes through a Dimensional Leap, intending for his main body rather than a clone to use the Bio-Mecha. 281

Meng Fanxing is notably composed because he possesses Lu Changfeng's accumulated experience of more than six thousand years. Ye Hongyuan considers him unusually calm and mature for a young mining worker, while Lombard is struck by how steadily he handles both business success and violence. 251 252

He is decisive and often ruthless when threatened. He kills Duran after the gang leader attempts to murder him, orders the elimination of Black Gold's infiltrators, and publicly kills An Long rather than yield to political pressure. 252 255 258

Despite this severity, Meng Fanxing repays those who helped the previous owner of his body.
