Night fell, and Konoha's lights were beginning to glow.

After Sasuke changed out of his Anbu gear and mask at the Anbu base, he wore a simple dark-blue high-collared short-sleeved shirt and white shorts, walking home alone.

The road outside the Anbu base seemed especially cold and quiet, with only the streetlights casting his lonely, slender shadow across the ground.

Sasuke's thoughts were like a stirred-up pond, unable to settle for a long time.

The scene he had seen at the village gate during the day kept echoing through his mind.

That familiar figure wearing Uchiha clan clothes and a Hoshinin Headband, and that fleeting glimpse of the Three-Tomoe Sharingan... Uchiha Shisui.

Why would someone declared "dead without even a corpse" appear alive and well at Konoha's gate?

Why was he not only alive, but had become a ninja of the Land of Stars?

Judging by the attitude of Idasuke and the other Star Ninja toward him, his status in the Land of Stars did not seem low.

What exactly had happened when the Uchiha clan was slaughtered to the last in a single night back then?

Why had Itachi done something like that?

Why was Brother Shisui still alive, yet had left Konoha and joined the Land of Stars?

If Brother Shisui was still alive, then... were there other clansmen still alive too?
