An old man sat at the table beside Su Fan. He looked to be fifty or sixty.
He wore an earth-colored long robe beneath a short black padded jacket. His mouthful of large yellow teeth, rough skin, and face full of wrinkles were crisscrossed with deep furrows.
Without giving anything away, Su Fan swept the other man a glance. The old man gave him a leering grin.
At the sight of those huge yellow teeth, Su Fan nearly threw up.
What the hell did this old bastard mean? Why was he staring at him for no reason? He didn't even know the guy.
And he was fucking smiling at him too. Was he sick in the head?
After a while, the old man came over and sat across from Su Fan.
He cupped his hands and said with a smile, "Brother, are you also a fellow believer who worships the Luotian God?"
Su Fan was somewhat dumbfounded. He had never worshipped one before, though he had killed quite a few.
Seeing the shock on Su Fan's face, the man leaned forward and spoke quietly.
"Don't panic, fellow believer. This old man cultivates a secret art that can smell scents others cannot."
After speaking, the old man gave a chuckle and picked up some tea pastries from Su Fan's table, stuffing them into his mouth.
"Fellow believer, your method of concealing your aura is no simple thing. Only this old man could spot it. Someone else truly wouldn't have been able to tell."
Su Fan thought for a moment, then cupped his hands toward him.
"How did you guess?"
The old man smiled. "Fellow believer, you worshipped a god just a few days ago, didn't you?"
Su Fan could not help growing tense. He had indeed come into contact with the
