The moment Ronglin raised his hand, Duke Lodun took it as a signal to attack and immediately shouted, "Attack! Kill this kid who doesn't know his place! Let him see how foolish his actions are!"
In an instant, atop the bay defense fortress on Lodun main island, the tens of thousands surrounding him all trained their weapons on Ronglin, ready to launch a fierce attack at any moment.
"Crack—buzz!"
Another circle of deep-blue vortexes spread around Ronglin. It covered an enormous area and expanded at terrifying speed, engulfing the entire bay defense fortress in the blink of an eye.
The instant Conqueror's Haki was unleashed, everyone within its range felt their hearts sink. A dreadful pressure bore straight into the most vulnerable parts of their souls, forming a terrifying wave of intimidation. Those unable to withstand it foamed at the mouth and collapsed unconscious.
Tens of thousands fell cleanly under the intimidation of Conqueror's Haki in an instant. Fewer and fewer people could withstand Ronglin's increasingly powerful Haki. Aside from a few exceptionally courageous commanders, no one remained standing to face him.
Duke Lodun finally experienced what fear was—and mixed within that fear was something called despair. His legs had long since begun trembling uncontrollably as he staggered backward step by step.
"Boss! You're so shameless!" A boy's voice suddenly rang out. A drenched boy flipped over the outside wall of the fortress, and the moment he landed, he began complaining to Ronglin.
Duke Lodun was terrified out of his wits. The outer walls of his fortress were as smooth as a mirror; even with tools, climbing them might not have been possible. How had this boy gotten up here? And why was he soaked from head to toe? Had he swum here from the sea?
