Teahog looked at Ronglin, terror filling his heart. "Stop! Don't come any closer! What are you trying to do?"
Ronglin kept smiling as he said, "I seem to recall you saying this was your paradise. I think you may have misunderstood something. In the New World, there is only hell—there is no paradise!"
How Did I End Up Dead?
Teahog's terrified expression completely twisted his ugly face. Sweat poured down his forehead like rain. He had never expected that, only moments after acting so arrogantly, the situation would reverse in the blink of an eye. This young man had taken control of everything with a mere flick of his fingers.
"Stop right there!" Though Teahog wanted to resist, he had no strength left to struggle. With a thud, he dropped to his knees, yet his mouth still made one last defiant stand. "I advise you to stop now! The New World's balance has changed. Small pirate crews can't survive anymore. Joining a major power is the right choice! I've already submitted my letter of surrender to Blackbeard. I'm one of his men now! If you kill me, you'll be making an enemy of Blackbeard!"
Desperate to find even a sliver of hope, Teahog had dragged out Blackbeard, who had not even become his Boss yet.
Ronglin paused. Did people these days always do something as laughably stupid as threatening others when death was staring them in the face? The last person who had threatened him seemed to have been one of Kaido's subordinates. In the end, that man had been "accidentally" sunk to the bottom of the sea.
Seeing Ronglin stop, Teahog was instantly overjoyed, believing he had grasped a lifeline. The terrified, ugly look vanished from his face, replaced by a wildly arrogant grin. "Haha! Now you understand, right?
