Ronglin snorted. "It doesn't matter whether a pirate stands before me and plays games with me. As long as you ultimately stand against me, you're someone I have to eliminate."
"All right." Capone took the cigar from his mouth and said, "I understand what you mean."
"Then that's that." Ronglin turned and left, tossing a remark over his shoulder at Capone. "Remember, this is my territory from now on. You'd better not cause trouble here, or I'll break your damn legs."
Capone chuckled, put the cigar back in his mouth, and followed after Ronglin.
Ronglin ignored him and left the busy district with Jazz, preparing to return to the Starry and contact his officers for another round of reorganization.
Yet even after Ronglin had left the outskirts of town, Capone still followed unhurriedly behind him. Ronglin was starting to lose patience.
"Why are you still following me?" Ronglin asked unhappily. "I've got a pretty good impression of you, so hurry up and cherish this lifeline I've thrown you. Get lost already!"
"Until Captain gives me a new assignment, I'll probably remain by Captain's side," Capone said with a smile.
"Hm?" Ronglin was somewhat surprised. "What are you trying to do? Who are you calling Captain?"
"I suppose I want to take a gamble?" Even Capone found his own actions ridiculous. "I've never seen anyone so arrogant, with such an overbearing ambition to ascend the throne of the world. I think if I follow a madman like that, my future will definitely be exciting—definitely crazy, too."
Unexpected!
Ronglin eyed the smiling Capone suspiciously. His old face was written all over with banditry. It was truly hard to believe that this man would join him so inexplicably. Half an hour ago, he had firmly rejected Ronglin's recruitment.
"Have you thought this through?"
