As he spoke, Ronglin suddenly remembered something and immediately had someone bring over a Den Den Mushi.
Because Den Den Mushi could be eavesdropped on, Ronglin now strictly required that whenever any officer used one, an anti-eavesdropping Den Den Mushi had to be placed beside it.
Ronglin quickly connected the Den Den Mushi, and Hawkins's voice came through from the other end.
"Alliance Leader?" Hawkins sounded somewhat surprised. After all, very few people received the privilege of being contacted directly by Ronglin's Den Den Mushi.
"How has the mission been going lately?" Ronglin asked. The Second Fleet's current mission was to attack the strongholds behind the Four Emperors.
Hawkins's tone was calm on the other end. "We've slipped past their defenses and avoided the Four Emperors' sea patrols. I've locked onto two Beasts Pirates strongholds and am preparing to make a move in two days."
Ronglin gave a cold laugh. "Cancel the mission. Leave that sea area immediately."
Hawkins was somewhat startled. "Why? We've been deploying for nearly ten days."
"The Pirate Alliance may be plotting something behind the scenes," Ronglin said. "Be careful. When you withdraw, see if there's anything unusual. Keep an eye out."
"The Pirate Alliance?" Hawkins's icy voice came through. "Those bastards really haven't given up! No wonder I've kept running into isolated merchant ships lately. They fled the moment they spotted me from afar, and I couldn't catch them even when I gave chase! So they were scouts spying on me!"
Countermeasures!
Ronglin pondered for a moment before saying, "They've probably set their sights on your Second Fleet. They may have already informed the Beasts Pirates. When the time comes, they'll use your plan against you and strike you head-on, crippling the Second Fleet."
Hawkins's tone became even colder. "Trying to scheme against me? No
