They were shocked that Ronglin intended to directly lead his forces against two Four Emperors' fleets, and puzzled because Kaido had gone to Wano Country while the Alliance Leader was leading troops to Zou. With such a vast distance between them, how could this stab possibly hit the Four Emperors' alliance?
Only Crocodile and Trafalgar Law, standing at the very edge of the conference hall, had their eyes light up at the same time. They exchanged a glance.
They both read the meaning in each other's eyes, then sneered in unison.
Kaido had gone to Wano Country to ally himself with Wano Country's Great General, with the Poneglyph as his bargaining chip. But those who knew the truth understood that the Poneglyph was actually inside the Whale Tree on the back of the Zou Lord.
If Ronglin wanted to strike at this Four Emperors' alliance, all he had to do was retrieve the Poneglyph from Zou, then swagger over and let Kaido see it, telling him that all his efforts in Wano Country had been for nothing. Kaido would surely be furious enough to cough blood.
A strange smile curled across Crocodile's lips. Ronglin could always surprise him, always came up with endless strategies against his enemies. He was quite eager to see just how far Ronglin could drag down the New World's balance when he clashed with the Four Emperors' alliance.
