Ronglin glanced at the bashful Momousagi and was speechless. Even if Momousagi could carry it, he had no way to make her show her tough-girl side. Then he looked at Jazz, feeling even less willing to let his successor suffer such abuse before coming of age.
"Ah! You reap what you sow!" Ronglin sighed, making Momousagi and Jazz snicker off to the side.
Just as the three of them were preparing to leave, Duke Inuarashi ran over again. "Sir, wait!"
Ronglin stared at Duke Inuarashi with an unfriendly expression. "What is it? I've already been given this thing, and you want to take it back? Keep dreaming! Let me tell you, once something enters my pocket, don't even think about taking it out again!"
Duke Inuarashi stared blankly at Ronglin, whose attitude had changed drastically before and after. He immediately understood. Ronglin had clearly put on that fierce appearance earlier to scare these country bumpkins, but once he got the Poneglyph, his goofy nature was instantly exposed.
"No, sir!" Duke Inuarashi hurriedly explained. "My young lord wishes to form an alliance with you..."
Before Duke Inuarashi could finish, Ronglin cut him off. "The Great General of Wano Country has joined forces with Blackbeard and Kaido. Their grand alliance will be my main target next, and Wano Country may very well face the danger of Nation Destruction because of it. That unweaned kid wants to ally with me? Once he sees Wano Country about to be destroyed by me, he might bite me from behind in desperation! I don't need such a foolish ally. Let him obediently cling to life in this damned place for the rest of his days!"
"Sir..." Duke Inuarashi tried to speak again, but a gust of wind burst from Ronglin and swept him flying.
Ronglin had
