Having made up his mind, Ronglin strode toward Shino Academy's testing grounds. To his surprise, the place was far larger than it looked from outside, and much quieter as well. Clearly, the solemn atmosphere had kept everyone from speaking loudly.
Clutching his number tag in one hand, Ronglin found the way and slowly entered the grounds.
A Cure for Defiance!
The moment Ronglin entered, all eyes turned toward him. His eye-searingly "magnificent" outfit nearly blinded the entire venue. Combined with the fact that he had not groomed himself in ages, he looked only slightly better than a street scavenger.
Seeing everyone staring at him, Ronglin suddenly felt that he might have gone a little too far in neglecting his appearance. Somewhat embarrassed, he scratched his head and entered the area assigned to him.
"Hmph! These ungrateful lowborn are getting far too presumptuous. A few commoners coming in is one thing—even if they have no Spiritual Pressure, I can accept that—but they even let in people who cannot afford a complete set of clothes. Do they have any respect at all for the great nobles of the Seireitei?"
A delicate, crisp voice rang out, immediately drawing considerable agreement. Many people let out dissatisfied jeers at Ronglin.
Ronglin looked toward the source of the voice and saw
