Asuma wore a wicked grin as he cracked his knuckles and slowly walked into the alley, as though he could already hear Ronglin's screams of agony.

A trace of disdain and disgust flashed through Hyuga Tianlin's eyes. He stood off to the side with his arms crossed, showing no intention of joining Asuma.

As a member of the Hyuga Clan, Tianlin naturally looked down on Ronglin. Otherwise, he would not have deliberately provoked Asuma into targeting him. However, that did not mean he would lower himself to bully Ronglin alongside Asuma.

Because of their strict family rules and unique Kekkei Genkai, both the Hyuga Clan and the Uchiha Clan were extremely proud. That was why Tianlin merely stood with his arms crossed, watching coldly.

"Hmph, why would I be afraid of a lunatic like you?"

Ronglin snorted. His eyes darted around, and his expression suddenly froze, carrying hints of shock and reverence as he cried out in panic, "Lord Hokage, what are you doing here?"

As he spoke, he lowered his head slightly, though a mischievous smile appeared on his lowered face.

"..."

Asuma and Tianlin were instantly startled. Neither had expected the Third Hokage to pass by at such a moment. Tianlin was relatively composed, but Asuma's heart pounded wildly, nearly leaping out of his throat.

"You two idiots!!"

Ronglin sneered as his small fist shot toward Asuma's face. They had already been standing close together, and Ronglin's act had made both of them believe that the Third Hokage had truly passed by. Startled and tense as they prepared to turn around, Ronglin attacked without hesitation.

The one who struck first gained the advantage; the one who struck later suffered. Ronglin naturally would not stupidly wait for Asuma to make the first move, even if he was not afraid of him.

"Ah!!!"

A sharp, piercing scream rang out. Asuma clutched his eye and hurriedly staggered back several steps. "You cheated!!"

The moment he turned around, he realized he had been tricked. There really was no sign of his father outside the alley, and before he could react, Ronglin's attack had already landed.

"Smart! Too bad there's no reward."

With a wicked grin, Ronglin seized the chance to slam a fist into Asuma's stomach. Asuma nearly lost his breath entirely and collapsed to the ground clutching his abdomen, curled up like a cooked shrimp as if all his internal organs had twisted together.

That heavy punch made Asuma suffer greatly. Ronglin shook his hand with a disappointed look. "What a letdown. I wonder if the Third Hokage would blow his top if he saw you like this?"

He kicked Asuma in the stomach. The intense pain caused Asuma, who had yet to recover, to pass out gloriously against the wall.

"Now it's your turn."

Having dealt with one so easily, Ronglin turned to look at Hyuga Tianlin, who stood at the entrance of the alley, dumbfounded and speechless.

"Although we're related in some small way, considering how the Hyuga Clan looks down on me, I'll make sure to give you a proper welcome."

"You..."

Hyuga Tianlin's face darkened. He opened his mouth, wanting to throw out a few threats, but Ronglin gave him no chance and lunged straight at him.

After a round of grunts and cries from within the alley, silence fell. Ronglin shook his hands and left with a smile, leaving behind Sarutobi Asuma and Hyuga Tianlin, both battered black and blue.

"Sigh..."

After Ronglin left, an Anbu ninja appeared in the alley. Looking at the two bruised boys on the ground, he sighed and departed.

"You're saying Asuma and Hyuga Tianlin were beaten up by Uchiha Ronglin?"

Inside the Hokage's Office, the Third Hokage's hand holding his pipe trembled slightly upon receiving the news, and his expression became quite something.
