Kumogakure responded in the shortest possible time, but the people they sent were no match for the Nine-Tails. All of them died miserably beneath its claws, fangs, and tails, and the time lost in the back-and-forth only allowed the Nine-Tails' destruction to grow even more rampant.

With the Nine-Tails' whereabouts unknown and Konoha's people holding their position, Ay was deeply worried, not knowing where to begin.

Inside the Command Center, the assembled higher-ups were still discussing their battle plan against Konoha.
